Hi, my name is Rowan. I am from Arkansas. From my Arkansas foster: Rowan is the sweetest and has such a gentle spirit. She has done amazing in our home with our 2 male dogs and toddler son. She loves going on walks and does not pull a bit on the leash. She didn't attempt to chew anything in our home but loved the chew toy we had for her. Rowan does well in her crate but also didn't have any issues being left to roam in the house as she loves to snuggle on her bed. Rowan knows her name and will follow simple commands. She is potty trained and enjoyed exploring our yard. She has not been tested with cats. From her foster: Rowan is a beautiful, athletic, 4 year old, 63 pound, Plott Hound from Arkansas. She is calm, medium energy, housetrained, crate trained (though has not been destructive when I've left her out), good with dogs (no known experience with cats), good with people, good on leash, intelligent, knows basic commands and is eager to please. Her foster mom in Arkansas said her two boys and Rowan did well together. She is food motivated, seems easy to train--adapts to requests and responds quickly--and takes treats gently. She loves her walks and the first morning here (after her long trek from Arkansas) was engaging in play with my dogs, had the schedule down, and had integrated well. She seems to bond easily. She's truly a special and amazing dog, and everyone who has met her says her new forever family is going to be very lucky to have found such a great dog. I couldn't agree more.

This handsome fella needs a strong, gentle pack leader who will not allow him to be in charge.  Yes he is a big boy and can be a bit overwhelming to some but when he knows you are the boss because you guide him to do the right thing, he is all yes ma’am, yes sir.  He will need continued training and yes, we have a trainer already set up to work with him.  We just need a adopter who is willing to put in the time for socialization and training.  He will thrive in an environment that has boundaries and expectations for him to follow. He is true to his people and although needs a minute to be ok with strangers, once he is comfortable, he is all snuggles and happy wiggles. He is housebroken and crate trained and walks well on a leash.  Right now he prefers to be the only dog in the home.  He can be around other dogs, but is a bit awkward and wants to show them he is the boss.  Yes, the trainer will help with that.   Look at that face…. Story
Meet Donatello! He’s a staffy mix born 3/31/24 and he weighs 42 lbs. Donatello is great with kids, cats and other dogs. Being a puppy, he is very curious and likes to play with other dogs. He wants to play chase with one of his foster's resident dogs, but is submissive when caught. They are still working on walking on a leash and he is a little afraid of cars passing but that's okay! He does weave around while walking so he is a work in progress! He has only been in the car one time and he fell asleep on the seat right away!  Donatello loves human contact, and chase. In the time his foster has had him,  he has not had one accident in the house!  He is pretty high energy and sometimes doesn't realize how big he is.  In no way does he try to hurt you, but he thinks he is a tiny poodle!! When his foster is working from home, he is a great coworker as he curls up under their desk and sleeps!  He has been sleeping through the night in his crate but does cry a bit when put to bed at night. Donatello is working on being a great family pet!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
