Hi, my name is Rowan. I am from Arkansas. From my Arkansas foster: Rowan is the sweetest and has such a gentle spirit. She has done amazing in our home with our 2 male dogs and toddler son. She loves going on walks and does not pull a bit on the leash. She didn't attempt to chew anything in our home but loved the chew toy we had for her. Rowan does well in her crate but also didn't have any issues being left to roam in the house as she loves to snuggle on her bed. Rowan knows her name and will follow simple commands. She is potty trained and enjoyed exploring our yard. She has not been tested with cats. From her foster: Rowan is a beautiful, athletic, 4 year old, 63 pound, Plott Hound from Arkansas. She is calm, medium energy, housetrained, crate trained (though has not been destructive when I've left her out), good with dogs (no known experience with cats), good with people, good on leash, intelligent, knows basic commands and is eager to please. Her foster mom in Arkansas said her two boys and Rowan did well together. She is food motivated, seems easy to train--adapts to requests and responds quickly--and takes treats gently. She loves her walks and the first morning here (after her long trek from Arkansas) was engaging in play with my dogs, had the schedule down, and had integrated well. She seems to bond easily. She's truly a special and amazing dog, and everyone who has met her says her new forever family is going to be very lucky to have found such a great dog. I couldn't agree more.

**Adoption special, $100 adoption fee!!**First off, just look at this beauty! Absolutely gorgeous. Sunny is what we presume to be a plott hound/shep mix but honestly, who knows! Sunny is a wonderful dog with just the right amount of playful energy. She does decently well on leash and has been in a couple of play groups with other dogs here at the shelter. Sunny does best with dogs that aren`t super crazy for the first meet barking at her. She likes a calmer introduction to other dogs so she feels safe. Unk with kids/cats. Sunny is 2yrs old and around 54lbs. Adoption fee is $175 plus tax. Find us on Facebook to be updated on events and shelter news! All animals up for adoption at the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative (if age appropriate), up to date on vaccinations (a booster may be needed), given flea and tick preventative, given heartworm preventative, dewormed, and treated for anything necessary: such as dental cleanings, ear infections, etc. Please visit our website for prices and more information about our hours. He is just so friendly and playful. What a handsome kid too. We loved having him at the rescue, but we'd really love to see him splashing in some water with his forever family! Let Love Live rescues animals in Texas and many southern states. We have two locations, our shelter and sanctuary in rural Northeast Texas and our Minnesota foster-based program.
