Say Howdy to Daryl and Jessie! Their owner had to surrender them after an unexpected medical condition left him unable to care for them.  This bonded pair are only a year apart, and have been raised together since puppyhood so we really want to keep them together! He’s a little bit country and she’s a little bit rock-n-roll, but they go together like peas and carrots!  Daryl is a laid-back, handsome brindle with a sweet, calm demeanor, and gives the best dog hugs ever! The true hound that he is, he loves long walks with his nose to the ground or in the air to make sure those pesky squirrels stay up in the trees.  But don’t let him fool you, he has a funny, mischievous side as well.  If his nose can reach it, his mouth can eat it, but only when you’re not looking.   While Daryl is happy moseying along, Jessie’s ready to put the pedal to the metal.   She puts the “sass” in sassafras!   When this girl gets excited, clear the floor, ‘cause she likes to dance like no one’s watching!  This little fashionista somehow matched her eyes to her coat, she’s a real beauty!  But there’s nothing she loves more than snuggling up with you on the couch.  That is, once you move her over an inch and squeeze in beside her.  She’s not giving up her spot easily! They may be polar opposites, but they agree that they are looking for somebody with a lot of love to give…and treats(bones)…and cuddles…and belly/butt rubs and, oh yeah, a big yard would be great because, well, they’re not the best on leash, but they’re getting better!   November 5, 2024, 1:55 pm

Jack is a great little dog all around. She's happy-go-lucky, easy to live with and fun to be around! She's quiet in her kennel, great with cats and good with strangers and other dogs. She's doing well with house training and has only had two accidents with us. She can get a little bit nervous around strangers but she warms up quickly. She's very much still a puppy and is always ready to play! Her ideal home has other dogs or cats for her to play with, is active and enjoys being outdoors with her. Meet Gunner! Hes a very active, intelligent, sensitive boy who loves cuddles, long walks and chasing his squeaky cube. Speaking of cubes, he loves his nightly ice cubes too! Choosing to rehome him has been an immensely difficult decision for us, but we feel it is the best decision for our him and our family. Unfortunately we are just not as active as we thought and do not have enough time to dedicate to exercising him with our 3 very young kids. Gunner is a fast learner and can pick up on new things VERY quickly and is food motivated. He loves running, playing fetch and tug-o-war, and last but certainly not least - butt scratches. Gunner is not the most social dog, but with proper introduction can successfully meet new people and other dogs. His perfect home would be with someone who has older (or no) children, other dogs in the home, lots of space or time to dedicate to exercise and continue training and maybe possibly doesnt mind cuddles in bed. Dottie is waiting patiently to find her FurEver Family!! Precious gentle-soul Dottie is guessed to be a 1 to 2 year old Coonhound, and is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes and rehabilitates timid, shy and scared dogs. She is absolutely adorable and her eyes will melt your heart! Her foster mom thinks she would do better in a quiet home with adults or older children to work with her. Another confident dog could be helpful as she loves to play with friends, but not necessary. Her foster mom has an amazing rehabilitation protocol to help these scared dogs and is working with her on potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, kennel training, doggie door training and if time permits, leash and car training. She also has an amazing group of volunteers that meet twice a week to help socialize all the scared foster dogs in her care. There are lots of other dogs at her foster mom's house so we know she is dog friendly. Her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced slowly and properly. She will need an adopter, who will give her love and patience. Please consider this adorable dog as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs, who adore their humans. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter, who is willing to do a minimum of one paid training session with her. This training session is NOT basic obedience, but instead, is designed for rescue dogs and teaches the adopter how to work to build the dogs confidence and overcome any trauma the dog may have experienced. This training will help the family and this sweet dog adjust to their new life together much quicker than trying to do it on your own. She provides a discount on training to her adopters.
