Story
Leo was struck by a car left for dead in Texas. He managed to escape the road and hide amongst the bushes of a near by home. Even though he suffered a broken leg and a degloved tail he was the sweetest puppy. Leo nearly had to have his leg amputated because of the cost of surgery to save it. Luckily we were able to fundraise so Leo could keep his leg! He did however loose 1/2 of his tail from the injuries he sustained it had to be amputated. Leo is now fully healed and waiting for the perfect home to call his own.   Although Leo is a young dog he has an old soul. He is very quiet and would love nothing more than to cuddle up on a couch and watch movies with his human. Leo is Dog friendly , Cat friendly and adore children. Leo doesn't let his old injury define him! He is a happy camper!   Leo is potty trained , will tolerate a crate but does fine without one.  ##2154031##

I love to cuddle with my people and play with my foster's other dogs. My best friend is my foster's husky, who is the same age as me! I am a bit shy meeting new people and ask that you give me patience and maybe some treats while I warm up. I get along with all dogs big and small. I have been around a cat and was curious but the cat didn’t want anything to do with me. I’m good with older kids. I am a bit stubborn but motivated with food. The crate/pin isn't my favorite, but I am okay as long as I have some toys to play with. I love balls and toys that make crunchy noises. I have minimal house accidents and am still working on commands. I like to sleep in the room with you and sometimes ask to sleep in the bed. I do love to cuddle on the couch while watching tv. I'm up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.   Sweet and playful 4 year old Estrella is eager to love and be loved. At 45 pounds she is especially fond of going for walks and is eager to show you how well she walks in heel. She is mostly house-trained and after a minute or two will settle down nicely for a nap in her crate when left alone. Motivated by food and love, she accepts treats gently and knows all of her commands such as "come", "sit", "down", "place", "stay", "no", and "off". Estrella is quite the weekend warrior, going for long summer hikes, but is equally happy to curl up on her person's lap and cuddle while they read a book or watch TV together. She is up for almost anything as long as she gets to be with her human. Estrella has so much love to give that she needs to be the only pup and would do best without any other furry companions. She's eager to find an equally loving home that will keep her constructively active fur-ever and treat her like the star she is! Jack is a great little dog all around. She's happy-go-lucky, easy to live with and fun to be around! She's quiet in her kennel, great with cats and good with strangers and other dogs. She's doing well with house training and has only had two accidents with us. She can get a little bit nervous around strangers but she warms up quickly.
