You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption . Oscar has been in his foster home for way too long! HE was rescued from a southern shelter where he and his mother and siblings were set to be Euthanized in Sept of 2023. Its been almost 15 months since he was saved His mother two sisters and 3 brothers have all found homes. Now its Oscar turn. Oscar weighs 45 pounds and will be 2 yrs old mid December. He is a beautiful black and gold brindle mix breed like his mother. He loves to run and play and just enjoys life! He enjoys spending time with his human as much as he can. He is very playful and plays well with the other dogs in the house.He is crate trained but prefers to sleep in his bed or with his people. Oscar spends much of his time indoors and has great house manners. He also enjoys time outdoors going for leash walks and exploring the great outdoors! He would really love hiking with his humans if that is your thing. Oscar is neutered, tested negative for heartworms, up to date on all vaccines, and he has been on his monthly prevention for heartworms, flea,ticks and parasites. Application must be submitted prior to being considered to adopt.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.   November 29, 2024, 1:32 pm

Kona was left abandoned by his former 'family'. Hard to believe that a family could just leave this beautiful boy. He's a bit scared and who could blame him, but even with having to deal with being abandoned, he's been gentle, sweet and friendly. We'll post more pics of him asap!! Kona looks to be about 95% Plott Hound, but that's just a guess. What we do know for sure is that he's a very special Purebred Mix-Breed!! **Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

This girl is one of the more outgoing of her litter. She is very sweet, loves attention and is just fun! She has done fine with other dogs her size or smaller, but no experience with cats. She will need all the basic puppy training but should do well with some bribes. She likes to be outside, weather permitting, so would do great with a yard or outside activities. She is just a great little girl ready to find her forever home.

This girl will be a great companion for any family. She likes to play, is curious but cautious, and likes attention. She plays well with other pups her size but has not been around cats. All basic puppy training is needed but she does well with bribes. She likes going outside so will need some outdoor activities to keep her busy. She is just a wonderful pup ready to find her new home.

He will need all the basic puppy training but should catch on with some food bribes. He is a wonderful puppy who would do great on any outdoor adventures a family may take. He will need a yard or outside exercise to keep him busy due to his breed mix. He is ready to go on his next adventure with a forever family..

Lazarus was brought to us by police. He was found nearly starved to death. His sister passed away as we were rescuing her. He has made such a turn around and is doing so much better now. He is a very friendly boy who just wants to be loved. He is scared of new people because of the abuse he faced in his past. With a small amount of time, he will be a great dog for a family.
