Story
Annie is a German Shepherd/Hound mix. She one of six left behind from a large litter. She was owner surrendered to BHS due to the owner could not find homes for all the puppies. She was born June 18, 2024. She has a beautiful dark black and brown coat. As she grows she is looking more Shepherd than Hound. She has been with her siblings since birth and is now ready to have a family of her own. When out in the open yard she is very attentive to her foster mom. She comes when called and does not wander far. She is smart and is eager to learn. She is a puppy and does need to get plenty of exercise. She would do well with children that understand getting puppy jumps and nibbles. She gets along with other dogs. She has not been around cats but yet she is young enough to be trained to enjoy a cat's company. If you are looking to add a pup growing to large size and would become your best friend, Annie is the one for you. She has been dewormed, microchipped, on preventive for flea/tick, and has received the Distemper-Parvo combination vaccine. Until Annie is spay she is not available for adoption outside of the counties contiguous to Bedford County. Story
Winny, was known as Winter, was born April 24, 2024, is a Husky/Labrador mix. Winny was adopted and returned through no fault of her own. She is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash, rides great in a car. She is still a puppy, and therefore she needs to be monitored as to what she can put in her mouth and swallow. She is beautiful with her ears straight up reaching for the sky. She is very sweet and wants to learn from her people. Her breed is only a guess according to mom and her appearance. She will be spayed November 4th. She is up to date medically according to her age. Winny loves to hide, run, play in water and then enjoys cuddles, and would love to have an active family. If you have the energy to keep up with Winny please apply to meet her. Winny's adoption fee is $175.00 which helps to cover her medical needs and spay surgery. For more information, please call the Bedford Humane Society at 540-586-6100, or go to https://www.bhsva.org/adoptables to fill out an adoption application.
