Clove is a petite girl with a difficult past. Now she is ready to learn about her new home! She is very nervous at the shelter, but is expected to open up in a home environment. This small but mighty survivor need patient adopters to help her build confidence and continue to show her she is safe. With time, patience, and love, we believe she will thrive in a home environment and trust her new family members.    The adoption fee is $300 plus tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.   Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary. We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws.  We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Story
Melvin AKA "Mel" is a gorgeous small guy!  He is about 8-9 months old and still the size of a kitten much younger.  He has had a rough start in life and is looking for a home where he will never want for food, love, or care to keep his environment clean and sanitary.  He is quiet, mellow and sweet.  His perfect day is lots of playtime with wand toys with his favorite person, napping on a high cat tree perch in front of the window and sleeping soundly at night next to his person in the human bed.  He is so thankful for a clean litter box, a steady flow of food and lots of time and attenditon from the humans in his foster home.  He is not a busybody, nosy kitten but does appreciate dedicated playtime with his favorite wand toys as he is quite the little hunter. Pets, brushing and snuggle time sitting next to you are appreciated by Mel but he does not at all liked being picked up. He shows his affection in other ways and loves to show you his love by his sweet purring. Mel will need a person who is comitted to helping him stay clean and will need routine sanitary shaves.  He will need very frequent brushings to keep his longer coat mat-free and gorgeous.  He had to be mostly shaved several months ago due to matting and filth and he is growing in his coat beautifully.  He was very recently neutered and had a sanitary shave done at that time. He is great about using his litter box and the scratching posts and seems to really love the floor cardboard cat scratcher. Mel is a wonderful little guy looking for a family who will treat him like the little king that he is! Story
Cardi C came from a difficult situation and learned so much in her foster home. She loves other cats and watches them intently, copying what they do. She loves playing with toys especially cat nip toys. She is fearful of people and will need a patient and understanding family in order to build trust. Cardi C is still easily startled so a quieter home might be best. She has discovered how great  treats are and loves her wet food. She has an adorable little snore and loves scritches under her chin. Foster care has been wonderful for her so the right adoptive home will be amazing.
