We must have an application to move forward.
Her breeds are many! She looks VERY different and was the smallest of the litter. Hence, it is kind of impossible to list her two breeds lol (although we believe she had a different dad then the other four in the litter as the others looked quite similar to each other and she is 10/15 pounds smaller and has soft fur and looks very different, Nevertheless, this was the DNA on one of her siblings.
Pekingese, Poodle, Australian Cattle Dog, Chihuahua , German Shepherd. American Bully, American Pit Bull and Chow.
in foster in Olympia , WA
She is super cuddly with humans and loves to play with the foster dogs. She is also in foster with cats and is doing fine with them .
She has short legs (like the Dachshund), a very soft fur similar to a Border Collie...with waves! She's very sweet and loving but we really don't know her breeds! We believe she won't be more than 30 pounds FULL grown! She is 8mos old right now and 27#. Estimated DOB 6/26/24.
ORIGIN: The litter was placed in a fold-up-type wagon and left at the front door of a vet clinic in San Antonio, TX. Vets in TX pts dogs bc the overpopulation is INSANE:( All they can do is beg a rescue (which are all on major overload:( The pups were very small considering the vet determined that they were already 5mos old!! They ranged between 5-12#s! They received good quality food and as much as they wanted once in our rescue. They all doubled their weight and size in 3 weeks! I have never seen such growth. I’m not sure how big they will get because they are making up for lost time. These pups are the absolute sweetest. They show NO aggressiveness… No bully. They all just want LOVE!!!
COOKIE…She is the smallest of the group. She was only 5.5# when she was rescued at approx 5 months old~! She is about 26#s and likely wont get any bigger or maybe one or two pounds? She grew like a weed from 5 months till 7 months. She is much like her sister in personality, super VERY very sweet and loves attention from humans and loves to play with dogs. . She will make a great companion and won’t be real big. The other 4 siblings have all found their loving forever home. .
Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 5 mos of heart worm prevention.

HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/
This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives..
