I am a Sweet 6 Month Old Papillon that was severely abused and neglected by my Previous Owner . I am extremely skittish, but with the help of other dogs as companions, you will see my playful happy nature. I want to bond with people it’s just extremely hard for me to trust them because of my what I endured, I cannot be trusted off leash For the first few weeks after my adoption, I don’t know what it’s like to be treated like a dog, but with plenty of one-on-one bonding, you will easily gain my trust and I am very food motivated, my rescuer believes I was tormented with a leash so my ideal adopter would give me plenty of reassurance and be very patient and kind to me. I am very smart and I do not want to be somewhere alone I will find a way out so crate training must be applied when I come home. I am potty trained on puppy pads and I am crate trained I do enjoy car rides and I do enjoy cuddling on the bed once I have established a routine and acclimated to my new environment. I am the sweetest spunkiest cutest, long legged dog you’ve ever seen. My rescuer is very attached to me and had a hard time letting me go, but she knows I deserve my forever home where I will be loved and get that one on one time so if you think you can change my mind on people, please contact my rescuer directly with the information listed above my story and she will schedule a time for us to meet. I am approved for same-day adoption and I am looking forward to finding my forever home.

Meet Summer! She is a 5 year old Papillon/Spaniel mix (we are guessing). She is 11 pounds and is a total cuddle bug. She is very smart and has very good house manners. She is housebroken, sleeps quietly in her crate at night and is not a nuisance barker. Even though she would love to join in with the other dogs to bark at the mailman, she has learned not to join in. Summer gets along with other dogs and likes to play with her foster brother occasionally. But her true calling in life is to be a lap dog! We feel her ideal will be one that allows her humans to be home more often than not. Her foster mom is retired now (so we aren’t sure how she would do if she was left alone for 8-10 hours a day.) But if your family has a staggered schedule or you’re retired then Summer might be your girl! She definitely prefers women to men. We aren’t sure what happened to her before she came to us but she takes a bit longer to warm up to men. She just isn’t as trusting of men as she is women. Honestly, we believe her 7th heaven would be a retired single woman who wants a loyal companion to just hang out with all day. She doesn’t need a ton of exercise, and she is quite content to lay in the recliner and watch tv with you. Summer is a shy and timid dog and needs a confident owner that can help build her confidence she tends to take on the emotions of her owners so if you are anxious, then so is she. If you are able calm then you will be able to help her be calm and follow you. She is needs an experienced dog owner that will help her overcome her “Nervous Nelly” habits. She is doing wonderfully in her foster home because her foster is calm and no nonsense with Summer. She needs you to be her pack leader.Our adoptions are restricted to residents within 30 miles of the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. Meet Lara💗 Lara is a super calm small girly. She loves humans and gets along well with children, but is not really interested in dog friends. She’s super cuddly and calm, so the house size wouldn’t matter much. She loves going for a short walk and is trained for housebreaking, so it is essential for you to take her for a walk at least two times a day. She’s also indifferent to dogs or humans she meet outside, but wants to lead the walk herself. She sheds a bit - not a lot; mediate level, and is also really good at grooming, so it wouldn’t be a big worry. However, she doesn’t really prefer long car trips – she doesn’t eat in cars and is a bit afraid of being in them at the first time. She is not kennel trained, but does sleep in her own bed. She also loves to cuddle on human bed and sofa! Meet Kong-i🖤 She was brought to Korean City shelter and was staying alone in a floating cage. She used to be scared and freezed when people tried to dress her. As she spent more time alone, exposing to the cold weather, she was rescued for fear of being caught infectious diseases. * With People: Is shy, but welcomes people to whom she opens up when they return home after going out. * With Dogs: Greets with manners othet dogs whom she encounters for the first time. Gets along well with other dogs at the foster home. * Separation Anxiety: Sometimes shows separation anxiety, but is getting to know the cause and getting training regularly. * Potty Training: Is doing indoor potty with more than 80% sucess. Sometimes makes a mistake, so is getting training diligently. Does not have the issue of indoor marking. * Hygiene: Accepts a bath and dry blowing well. Is getting desensitization training because she is not used to clippers and is afraid of them. * Car Sickness: Has a mild car sickness.
