Age: 1–2 years old Breed: Papillon mix, plus some mystery other gifts! Weight: 10 lbs Color: Black as a moonless night (and just as magical) Origin Story: Rescued from the shelter, ready to rescue you from loneliness If you’ve been waiting for a sign from the universe that your heart is ready for a little more love, poof!—here comes Confetti, the 10-pound sparkle with four paws and a heart full of snuggles. Confetti might be black in color (and yes, sadly black dogs often get overlooked—black dog syndrome is real, folks), but she is bursting with personality, affection, and cuddles. Think of her as the party favor you didn’t know you needed, the midnight snacker who shares your chips, the bedtime spoon who must be under the covers. (No negotiations.) Her Daily Agenda: Love You. Repeat. Confetti loves morning walks, curling up beside you all day like a heated throw pillow, and playing the “I’m not tired” bedtime game where she tries to sneak in extra face kisses under the covers. She’s not into solo dining—this girl prefers her meals with a side of your presence—and if she could, she’d probably send you cute dog memes while you’re at work. She’s potty trained most of the time (we’re working on the sidewalk vs. grass debate), leash-walks with increasing confidence, and will absolutely let you know if someone dares approach your front door. Barking? Yep. But only when it counts. She’s also begun dabbling in “trash art,” so you may want to keep a lid on things—literally. The Confetti Experience: Velcro Dog? 100%. You will not pee alone again. Snuggles? Oh yes. She demands to sleep under the covers and against your side. It’s adorable. Resistance is futile. Kids? Confetti is excellent with children, including her foster’s 6-year-old autistic nephew—she’s patient, gentle, and intuitively sweet. Dogs & Cats? She’s a little unsure at first but interested. She prefers polite introductions and room to adjust. Energy? Low to medium. She's a zoomie queen when excited, but otherwise a professional lounger. Her Ideal Home: Confetti would thrive in a home where someone’s around most of the day—she bonds quickly and strongly. She’d make a fantastic family dog or a loyal sidekick for someone looking for companionship and a morning snuggle alarm. She’s still figuring out how to “dog,” but she’s got the smarts and sweetness to ace life in a loving home. Why You’ll Fall in Love: Confetti isn’t just loving—she’s extra. She’ll cuddle you through grief, follow you from room to room like a loyal cloud, and bring joy into the quietest moments of your day. She’s soft to the touch, but softer still is her heart. So, what are you waiting for? Add a little sparkle to your life—bring home Confetti. May 28, 2025, 11:05 am
