Story
Meet Nugget, an eight-pound dynamo of pure joy! While his original owner named him Nugget, “Prancer” or “Dancer” might be more fitting—this little guy has a signature move, twirling on his back legs whenever he’s excited. With his scruffy charm and playful energy, he’s likely a border terrier mix, around four years old, and as healthy as can be.
After a short adjustment period in his foster home, Nugget settled right in. He now eats like a champ twice a day and has mastered the art of making eye contact that melts hearts. He adores attention but isn’t pushy about it—just a polite little guy who loves belly rubs and gentle snuggles. His favorite pastime? Curling up in a warm lap for TV time, where he transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug.
At night, he burrows into his crate with his blanket and snoozes soundly until morning. When nature calls, he has a simple (and hilarious) way of letting his humans know—he stares at them. Intently. He’s still working on his leash-walking skills, but he’s eager to learn. Nugget also gets along well with the resident dog in his foster home, proving he’s got great social skills.
With his bouncy spirit, loving nature, and irresistible quirks, Nugget is ready to dance his way into the heart of his forever family!
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at [email protected] requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.
All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
