Born around March 10, 2025, this charming boy weighs only 10.0 pounds, making him a great small sized companion for a loving home. Mitchell came from a hoarding situation where he was one of 29 dogs, so life hasn’t always been easy for him. Because of that, he may take a few minutes to warm up to new people. But once you approach him gently and offer slow, reassuring pets, you’ll see his guard melt away—and that’s when his affectionate side shines through. Sadly, Mitchell did not receive heartworm prevention earlier in life and tested heartworm positive. The good news is that he has already been treated and is doing well! I am 18 lbs, and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $400 Meet Chuck! This very handsome Cairn Terrier/Yorkie mix is seeking his forever home—and a cozy spot to spend his golden years. Chuck came to AHS after his beloved owner sadly passed away, and now he’s hoping to find a new family to shower with love. Chuck is a big fan of car rides (especially if they end at the vet—what a brave boy!) and considers the couch his favorite napping destination. He’s house- and crate-trained, and when it’s time to head outside, he’ll hop right by the door to let you know he’s ready for a potty break. Smart and stylish, Chuck even knows the adorable command “sit pretty!” This sweet guy is a pro at bath time, ear cleanings, and strolls around the neighborhood. He’d do best in a home with children ages 12 and up who will respect his cherished toys and treasures. If you’re searching for a handsome, loving companion to fill your home with warmth and tail wags, Chuck just might be your perfect match—at least Chuck sure hopes so! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age-appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended.
