Story
Adoption Pending. Furguson is about 4 years old and 16 lbs. He is a nice little dog who loves hanging out with you. He gets along with other dogs but doesn't want to play with them. He would love to be an only dog if you do not work a full workday and would need a canine companion for him if you do. Furgus is a people dog and gets along with men and women but he lights up when he sees a man. No young children should be in the home where he lives because he has no patience with them. He is a sweet and good-natured fellow who can also be very vocal when he wants and has much to say. A perfect day for him is a stroll through the backyard, walking, riding in the car, or just sitting in his bed next to you or on the chair where you sit. He is not interested in toys at all. Furgus sleeps all night in his bed and is house-trained. He is a loving dog who needs to be in a quiet home where he can let his hair down. We do not know how he would be with cats in the home. Furgus is being fostered in San Francisco. His adoption fee is $275.00. Please contact us for more info or an application to adopt at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received.

Story
Meet Rosco! He is a sweet boy but can be a bossy one, though regardless he always has a lot to say! He needs a home that is active and can provide lots of stimulation. Rosco can be protective, or even territorial in a setting that has kids, so he would do best in child-free home. He is very excitable, and every person he greets can't help but smile at his precious scruffy face and wiggly tail. Rosco loves to go for walks with his favorite humans, but enjoys playing in the yards with his doggie friends just as much. We love Rosco and we are sure you will love him too! Apply to come and meet Rosco today!

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $600   Pie is a 3 year old Norfolk Terrier x Poodle mix who is excited to serve up adorable cuteness for her forever family! Mama Pie was rescued from a hoarding situation and we quickly discovered she was very pregnant. Within a week of joining our rescue, she gave birth to four beautiful babies. Now that her babies are ready to find homes of their very own, we can’t wait to send Mama Pie off on her next adventure. This girl is so amazing and she has a fabulous permanent smile due to some missing teeth. Nothing to worry about, it just means she’s always ready for Tongue Out Tuesday! If you’re excited for pie season, come to the DPS bakery and adopt Mama Pie!      Pie is a sweet and loving gal with a gentle disposition and a heart of pure gold. She was very shut down and scared during her first few days but she slowly opened up and accepted pets. After two days, she showed us her cuddly personality and was eager to get all the love her foster people had for her. We promised that her forever home would be in for the best dog ever! Pie loves to follow her foster mom around the house, always on the hunt for cuddles and love. She is energetic but more in a people-centric way. She hasn’t quite figured out the whole “toy” thing yet. Pie’s dream is a home where somebody can give her tons of love and snuggles. She just wants to be part of the action and spend her days loving you. Pie is also super smart and food motivated, which makes her so fun to train. She’s also got such a goofy little smile with her tongue permanently hanging out of her mouth. She draws eyes and compliments wherever she goes! This sweet girl is the perfect addition to any household window sill, we promise!  Mama Pie wakes up around 7 AM and heads outside into the yard to start her day. Once she comes inside, she heads to her bowl and enjoys breakfast along with a treat. During the day, she tends to relax near her foster mom as she goes about her workday. She has access to the outdoors so she frequently goes out for some sunbathing and sniffing. She eats a snack around lunchtime and has dinner at 6 PM. She gets a short walk in the evening and then gets lots of snuggles and pets on the couch as she unwinds from her day. After one last potty trip outside, Mama Pie heads to her crate for the night.  Mama Pie gets along well with other dogs and draws confidence from well-rounded other dogs. She would be a fit for a home with current pets or as a solo dog. Pie is still learning how to “dog” but is house trained. Interested homes should be prepared to continue her training and socialization to build her confidence. Pie has been meeting more people every day and wins everyone over with her silly little smile. If you’re ready for the sweetest addition to your home, come scoop our Pie off the shelf today!      Mama Pie is an option for those with prior dog experience, even if the experience is dog sitting or family dogs. Kids should be over the age of 9.November 15, 2024, 5:23 pm
