Story
Lavender is 5 years old, is very cuddly, and has the softest fur of any cat I've ever met. Everyone comments on her fur. Once she is settled, she is super affectionate and loves to be held and cuddled. Our teenager considers her a "therapy cat" because Lavender is so soft and cuddly and purrs a lot. However, we have an older, much smaller cat that Lavender does not get along with. We resolved the dispute by Lavender moving into the teenager's bedroom. The teen would take Lavender to college if it were possible. The ideal environment for Lavender would be a single-cat home with someone who would enjoy soft and affectionate lap cat and companion. I am happy to answer any questions.

After much thought and consideration, I made the difficult decision to find a new loving home for my beloved cat, Saul. As I prepare for a significant life change, moving from Houston to Chicago for a new career opportunity, I had to face the reality that this move might not be the best environment for Saul. The decision to rehome him comes from a place of love and responsibility. As I anticipate the bustling city life in Chicago and the long working hours that my new job demands, I worry that I won't be able to provide him the attention and care he deserves. Saul thrives in a calm and stable environment, and the unpredictable nature of my new lifestyle could be stressful for him. I am looking for someone who can offer Saul a loving and nurturing home, ideally with someone who has the time to give him the affection and engagement he loves so much. It's important to me that Saul's new home is a place where he can continue to flourish and be happy.

A boy who could enjoy a life of leisureMikhail (Misha) is a gorgeous 1 yr old Russian Blue mix. He is extremely affectionate, when he is comfortable with you, but he could take awhile to warm up. Once he does, he is a complete lap kitty who loves to give kisses and 'make biscuits' on you. He loves to cuddle with you while you sleep. He would best be suited in a quiet home without children or dogs and with an experienced cat owner who will give him the quiet time and space he might need to adapt to new surroundings. He is very relaxed around other cats. He is independent but also doesn’t like to be confined. He wants to be with his person. He is not needy, however. He has perfect litter box habits and is a very clean kitty.  Misha is fully vetted (neutered, vaccinated, tested neg/neg for FIV/FeLV, microchiped) and is ready to go to his forever home.
