Story
currently trying to rehome our Miss Maya. She is 5 on 11/12/24. We’ve had her since she was a pup and got her from a rescue in NOVA. She’s updated on all of her vaccines, crate trained, potty trained, been to kennels, went to proper training at Creature comfort in Strasburg. We have her collar that she was trained with as well and her crate. She is amazing walking on leash, and loves being outside. Her anxiety has been her rough part, but a lot of it has stemmed from our older dogs and our young kids. She’s gotten in a few fights with our other dogs so we are really trying to make sure she goes where she is the only dog and no cats. She’s also developed some territorial behaviors with other dogs because of her anxiety and our older dogs. Although she’s had issues with our dogs and kids she has never bit a person. Her separation anxiety has caused her to be a little bit destructive at home but with given her medicine and properly put in her crate when not home she can do great.

Story
Churro is an absolute sweetheart when he warms up to you. He is fearful of new people and dogs and will bark at them. He is crate-trained and house-trained. He is tolerant of dogs he has been able to sniff and they give him space. He has cohabitated well with my female dog and plays with her, but is very reactive with other dogs and people. I adopted him from the SPCA and he has been with me for 3 months. I have been training him with a clicker and he is very food motivated. He has experienced trauma in his life and I think this is what the reactivity is due to. I live in an apartment complex with many other dogs here, so it is very difficult to avoid triggers. I believe he would do much better if he lived in a house with a backyard or a less dog-populated apartment complex! It breaks my heart to even have to post this. I love him so much!

Story
Meet Foley; a lively, loving pup ready for all of life’s adventures! He’s off-leash trained on an e-collar, crate trained, great in public, and super social. He’s traveled a bunch and loves making new friends, especially female dogs and some neutered males. Foley is a total snuggle bug and a blast to train with his bouncy, fun personality. He’s looking for a kid-free home where his boundaries will be respected, as he’s had negative experiences with kids in the past. He may need a slow, gentle approach when putting on collars or leashes due to past issues. Foley’s ready for a best friend to explore the world with — could it be you?

Story
My name is Zero, and I'm a handsome, distinguished gentleman of about 10 years young. My owner/companion passed away and I've been fostered since. I'm a loyal companion who loves to be by my human's side. I'm looking for a quiet home where I can relax and enjoy my golden years. I'm in search of a loving adult-only home without other pets. I get anxious around other dogs and children, so a peaceful environment would be best for me. I would love a place with a little bit of land where I can stretch my legs and enjoy some fresh air. A fenced yard or country life would be perfect! Most importantly, I would need someone who understands that I might take a little time to warm up, but once I do, I'll be your most devoted friend.
