Story
We got Mavis in August 2023 from the Lynchburg Humane Society. She’s a great dog but with my wife and my new schedule, we’re finding it more difficult to take care of her. She loves other animals and we don’t have good options for socializing her. I would like to see her have a play she can run and have other animals to play with. Part of the reason influencing us also is that we don’t feel we’re giving the dog what she needs. She goes on a couple of walks per day but she craves socialization with other animals. Mavis weights 56 lbs. We are also providing two crates, toys, leashes and collars and all remaining food to help the new owner get started.

Story
Jorge has been a great dog. He is 3 years old and I have had him since he was a puppy. It breaks my heart to have to let him go but I am no longer able to provide the attention he needs. Jorge, like most dogs is pretty inquisitive. He enjoys sniffing around, car rides, tug-o-war and playing fetch. He also loves to run and play, so he likely needs an adopter that can provide the time or space for him to do so. Jorge has lived with other dogs before but it can sometimes take him a while to warm up to other animals. Hes never lived with children so he may not do well young kids. I really need him to go to a loving home that will take care of him as well as I have.

Story
Sienna is an energetic, lively girl who would make an excellent companion for an active household. She loves to snuggle and take naps right alongside her humans. She's adores playing with her furry friends at the dog park and gets great reports from her dog boarding facility. Her prey drive and guard dog tendencies are very high, and as a result, she's jumped our 4.5’-foot fence multiple times. This is our reason for re-homing her. Our fenced-in backyard is on a very busy main road as well as a high-traffic neighborhood walking path. We are concerned she'll get hit by a car. That said, once she's jumped the fence, she's never been aggressive toward anyone or anything or toward anyone who has entered our home. Quite the opposite in fact: she greets everyone enthusiastically and is eager for them to play with her. Overall, we love her and want her to be in a safe home. Her adoption fee includes her crate, dog beds, food bowls, and some toys.
