Story
Monty boy was born on October 18, 2024 and is the sweetest boy! Weighing less than 15 lbs, this boy is considered fully grown.
Monty is rambunctious, playful and full of energy and life. He has been raised in a home since he was born, but the owners have decided to keep mom but because the owner is pregnant, can no longer keep Monty.
He does have a soft, wired coat and he does not shed much. We would consider him to be mostly hypoallergenic. Mom is a chiweenie mix who is quite small and dad is a shihtzu/Westie mix.
Monty has been raised with other dogs and 3 cats. The cats would actually pick on Monty and swat at him constantly, so the owner opted to keep him separate from the cats since they were picking on him. He would do great in a home with friendly cats that won’t be mean to him.
Monty has traveled across Texas and does great on car rides. He doesn’t like to be in a crate but would rataher be in your lap during the ride. He likes to press up against you for reassurance.
This boy wants to be your shadow. Anywhere you are, is his favorite place to be. Outside, on the couch, in the bed, in the bathroom; He will follow you around and not let you out of his sight.
He is still very puppy-ish and needs constant redirection. So please understand any home adopting him will need to still work consistently with his training.
The previous owner did try crate training but he whimpered when he was in it so she did not keep up with it – He is almost fully house trained though!
His most favorite thing in the world is to be next to his humans.
He is such a good boy and would make a wonderful family pet, he loves his children! A medium-to-more active household would be best as he doesn’t like just sitting around all the time.
If you think you can give Monty the best home, please fill out an application at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org
Monty will be neutered, he is current on vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick and heart worm prevention, and microchipped.
