He is still a work in progress (aren't we all), but he will make the perfect dog for someone looking for a devoted companion. He has shown much improvement in his housetraining and has very few accidents anymore. He is an active pup but also an ideal snuggle bug. He will burrow into your side and is just so happy to be there. He is working on learning how to be alone and self sooth and has gotten much more comfortable with me leaving the home. Astro is incredibly happy to meet everyone he sees. He loves all people and dogs and will try to drag you to say hello. He has become best friends with my own dog and when they are not wrestling and playing tug, they can be found snuggling each other on the couch. He is very chill around my cat. He sows interest but does not push her past what she is willing to give him. Astro is still very puppy and learning how to use his body so he does have some spatial awareness issues. I recommend not leaving full cups where his wagging tail can reach them! I truly cannot stress enough how cuddly this dog is, he 100% believes he is a lap dog.

Story

Charlie is a loving dog. He has a puppy-like energy and enthusiasm, he is healthy, and incredibly spry for his age. He can be a little bit finicky with other animals, but he is very adaptable and once he knows who you are, and boundaries are set, he can be friendly with just about anyone. He is a very special boy and I love him very much, but due to finances and my busy schedule I cannot give him all the love he needs and truly deserves and I am hoping he can go to a home where he will be treated well. Though he has not gotten his shots this year, he did last year and the last check-up revealed he is healthy. Two Issues: He has lumps on his belly. But these are just fatty masses. Nothing to be worried about. They do not seem to be causing him any pain or distress. He is not a young dog, after all. Charlie is not good with cats indoors sharing a space. With training and time, perhaps he can adapt.

Meet Chai! We rescued her with her siblings Latte, Toddy, Peppermint Mocha and Gingerbread. They are really great puppies. Friendly with kids and other dogs, playful but love to snuggle too. From her foster: SUNNY is a precious pup who loves cuddles. She also loves kids and so gentle. Non jumper. Maggie is a black lab mix. She’s just turned 10 years old. Her birthday is October 30, 2014. She has always been a sweet, well tempered dog, but as she grew older she’s become anxious and jumpy. We have a very busy house with kids running around. Which causes stress for her. In her later years, we want her to have a home where she can relax and not have the stress of people constantly moving around.

Sonny was rescued with his sister Cher from a kill shelter in SC! He is a great boy, playful yet snuggly. Good with other dogs and very sweet with people. We think he will grow to be around 40 lbs. Right now he's about 28 lbs. He is up to date on vaccines & neutered. Let's find him a home for the holidays!
