Hi there! My name is Peanut. It’s hard to believe I’m brand new both to the city and to the world, being only 3 months old, because I am such a good puppy! I also LOVE listening to the TV, so I’d be thrilled to listen to your favorite show with you.
I love other dogs, and playing with my foster sister dog is my favorite way to spend my time. I want to spend time with my foster family’s cats; unfortunately, I think they’re a puppy like me and want to play with them, and they’re not so much a fan of that.
My favorite toys are rope toys with stuffies on them and spiky balls that I can fit in my mouth, but honestly, I love most anything I can fit in my mouth. I think it’s hilarious to steal large plushie toys from my foster sister and howl at her when she tries to take them back. I haven’t learned yet to spit out cardboard toys or fluff rather than eating it, so I’m better off with actual toys rather than DIY ones.
I’m a pro at sleeping in my crate and have slept through the night since day 2 in my foster home, but I’m still working on my potty pad training. I get really excited while playing and don’t always realize I need to go potty until I’m already having an accident. My foster parents have been encouraging me to use the pads with treats and praise, and I’m getting better at it every day! I don’t like sleeping in a quiet room because every noise seems so loud, but I LOVE to sleep to the TV. White noise is only okay, but I love hearing people talk, so TV is perfect.
I also really love going for walks in my puppy backpack! Being outside is awesome, but the city has a lot of new noises I’m still getting used to. I’m not the biggest fan of unexpected loud noises like cars honking or dogs barking at me on the street, but really, who is?
I’m brand new to the city and still have lots of learning to do! I am working on the commands “sit” and “lay down.” I’m an indoor puppy, so I use pads exclusively for potty time. I love kibble and treats alike, with my favorite treat right now being teething rings that I’m given while hanging out in my playpen.
My foster parents tell me every day how cute I am and how much they love my floppy ears, so I must be pretty special. Do I sound like the right fit for your family? Apply to adopt me today at Muddy Paws Rescue.
