Story
Meet Lady! Our family adopted her from our local ASPCA September 2021. She was with a group of rescues from North Carolina. They estimated her age to be about 6 or 7 months old, so we estimate her DOB 2/1/21. Sadly our work schedule is changing and requires us to travel. We cannot afford the boarding costs. Lady enjoys car rides and just being by your side. A good game of fetch and run around the backyard or dog park is all she needs to expend her energy. She loves to show you her strength in tug of war. Give her a warm, fuzzy blanket and she is a happy napper. Lady knows how to sit, give paw, and lets your know when she needs to go out for the bathroom. And she is very well house trained. An electric fence and plenty essentials will come with her, if you like. Please help us and adopt Lady. We don’t want to add another dog to the local shelter, but will have to soon, if she’s not adopted.

Story
“My name is Leonard Skynard (Lenny), and I am guaranteed to rock your world, In a good way, of course. I am an 8-month-old mix of pure perfection; that’s what my foster mom says. I weigh about 65 pounds and am growing by the minute. I’m a good, very good boy. I am playful, but I also love to take a good nap. I am young, so I am used to hearing, ‘No, Lenny,' ‘Drop it, Lenny,’ ‘Give me that, Lenny,’ but I’m learning. I live with three other dogs, including one of my siblings whose mom adopted, and I love them, playing with them, and taking naps with them. I also lived with three other furry things that meow. I do like to chase them, but I mean no harm. I am crate-trained, and I go right in without a peep. I am doing great with my housebreaking. I am a fun guy. I would make a great family member to any family.” - Lenny Leonard Skynard was rescued in Texas along with his Mom and siblings. A good samaritan found them and reached out to us for help. The whole family was living outside in the heat and was severely dehydrated and malnourished. Poor Momma pup was trying her best, but they were just skin and bones. Lenny and his siblings each weighed just 2 - 4 pounds (at 10 weeks old), and Mom was just around 20 pounds when our Texas foster was able to pick them up. Lenny got sick and lost even more weight, but he wasn’t going to give up, and as you can see from the pictures above, he has fully recovered and is a happy, healthy pup these days. He is enjoying every opportunity to be pet and loved. He loves to follow his foster mom around and sleep on her lap. He is currently being fostered in NJ. BEAUTIFUL BUBBA! Please look beyond the scars to see the beauty within. Bubba is truly a gentle old soul. He loves to snuggle on the couch. He loves leisurely walks on leash. He loves other dogs and is respectfully curious about cats. He loves his crate and sleeps quietly through the night. Housebroken, good manners, and loves people in an adoring way.
