Story
Ace came to our family 3 years ago as a puppy from a shelter. Our dog had passed away of old age 2 years prior. Ace has been an amazing dog to us, but our hearts break to see him unhappy because we cannot give him enough attention. We have grown our family with another child, and between my son's developed allergies, my baby daughter's ongoing illnesses, having to take care of an elderly parent, and the increased demands of our jobs, we find ourselves not finding any time to give Ace the life he deserves. It breaks my heart not to be able to take him on well deserved walks. The only reason we are looking to re-home Ace is because we believe there is a family out there than can give him the attention he deserves. He is amazing with our two kids (including the 3 year old one), fully potty trained, very gently and obedient. He loves giving kisses and is a very people loving dog.

Story
Clover is a very special, smart, sweet, snuggly, and anxious 4-year old rescue pup. She is 27 pounds, fully potty trained, knows basic commands, and loves people. She was born in Tennessee in a kill shelter, and a puppy rescue brought her to NYC, for the first three years of her life, where she went to puppy kindergarten, playgroups, and to lots of parks - much of which was documented on instagram at @cloverdoloresclaire New York City increased her anxiety, which manifested in leash reactivity, where she will bark or pull, and is triggered/heightened when she sees another dog while on a leash. TWICE, her reactions on leash have led to her biting the first thing she could reach (the person holding the leash), level 2 bites (no broken skin). Clover’s Needs * a strong, predictable routine * A quiet environment, no kids * A well-fenced in backyard (bigger is better) * Comfort in thunderstorms * Safe walks (important to have space, pay close attention, and be flexible) * Consistent love

Story
We adopted AJ from a shelter 10.5 years ago when he was 6 months old (he is just about to turn 11). We had another dog (Springer Spaniel) that recently passed away at 14 years old and was AJ's best friend. Our work and kids schedules have changed in the last year and we have moved houses, so AJ is home alone more than he ever used to be. He does have some separation anxiety and this is the main reason we are looking to rehome him for a person or family that is home more often. AJ is an incredibly sweet and playful dog. Our kids are now 6 and 4 and he was very patient with them in their baby/toddler years; we never had an incident or any concern with his behavior. Despite being almost 11 he is very youthful and active. He loves to play fetch, take long walks, go swimming, etc. We are heartbroken about potentially rehoming him, but, know that his best interests will be someone that is home more often and can spend more time with him.

Story
Buddy is a very gentle, senior boy. I adopted him from homeward bound in Feb of 2010. He was full grown at that time, but did not have an age associated with him. I estimate he is 15ish now. He was recently vet checked, fully vaccinated and given a clean bill of health. He certainly has his best years as a loving, calm boy still ahead. Perfect balance of youthful energy with a calm senior demeanor. He walks 3 miles no problem, but doesn’t need to. I recently had a family member with a life change which unfortunately has led to significant time restriction for buddy. If you think a sweet older gent with a lot of love still to give sounds like a fit, please consider reaching out to meet buddy

Story
Meet Jenkins, a delightful and goofy dog who is ready to bring joy to your home! Jenkins is incredibly loving and enjoys snuggling up with his people, often trust-falling into your lap for extra cuddles. He gets along well with adults, other dogs, and older kids. He's best suited for a home without young children. Jenkins is potty trained, does great in his kennel, and has graduated from 3 levels of training. He's a fast learner who adores belly rubs and thrives on affection. We would love to be his forever home but unfortunately, he does not get along with our resident cat. Overall, he's a loyal and affectionate companion who is eager to please. Jenkins is currently on gabapentin and fluoxetine to help manage his anxiety and excitement around our cat but in a home without a cat, these may be unnecessary. If you're interested in giving Jenkins a loving home, we're here to answer any questions and would be thrilled to arrange a meet-and-greet!
