Story
Sadly, we are looking to re-home our dog Kratos. He’s a mutt that’s turning 6 this year. He grew up with us when I was on night shift so he is a total couch potato and sleeps most of the time. He does have a few anxious tendencies like being afraid of storms and loud noises. He also likes to be able to roam the whole house and not stay outside too long unless you’re out there with him. He really is a sweet boy, but he is more hesitant around children. He does well with other dogs and even cats (he mainly leaves them alone). Our schedule has also gotten a lot busier since moving and having a 18 month old, we just don’t have the time to dedicate to him that we would like. He loves to play fetch, he knows quite a few commands and will do just about anything for food or a treat!!

SPONSORED ADOPTION FEE!! Hello! My name is Monkey and I am a stray that no one ever came for. When I showed up with Animal Control, I was pretty beat up. My neck and face had a bunch of healing lacerations. I had an ear infection and I was very dirty. I am Heartworm positive which is why I am listed as special needs. The treatment is being covered by the shelter, but if I go home before I'm negative, I must return the 26th of each month to receive another treatment. I am docile, independent, shy, and loving. I just need a place to call home.

Story
Meet Bella! An adorable senior (10yrs)mutt! Bella is very laid back and isnt much of a barker. She is fully house broken and knows basic commands; Bella come, sit, lay down, get down, stay down(no jumping), stay(sometimes lol). Bella enjoys walks but doesnt get as many as she would like currently, and likes playing with her toys. Bella unfortunately does not get along well with other pets. Bella is in need of a forever home or even a foster for a year or two until her original owner is able to take her back. I feel awful rehoming this baby but the owner is in a very toxic living situation that is escalating quickly, she has a safe place to go but cannot bring Bella due to the home already having two large dogs Please if you can help reach out! Adoption fee is negotiable

Story
Sadie is approx. 7 years old, German Sheppard mix. She is medium size and weighs around 50lbs. She lived with another dog for 4 years before he passed. She gets along with other dogs, and has limited exposure to cats but she seemed to tolerate them just fine. Sadie is a good companion dog, she will stay by your side at all times. She is trained to sit, down. off, stay, wait, and will high-five. Loves to run and play fetch and also enjoys laying around and snuggling on the couch with you. She has had limited interaction with little or young kids so I can't advise on how she is with them. She tends to be afraid of loud, sudden noises, like thunder and fireworks. The ideal home for her would be one where she can be with you and tag along for adventures. All applicants will need to schedule a meet and greet before being approved.

Story
Murphy is a 3.5 year-old male (Beagle/Aus Shepherd mix,45-50lbs). He had his shots and has been neutered. He was originally adopted from Michigan Humane in 2021 (chipped). Was found as a stray in Detroit Palmer Park, apparently the original owner did want him anymore. The couple that found him could not keep him, so he was adopted by my family in April 2024. He was found to be heart worm positive and has gone through treatments in May and June. He is now in the 120-day waiting period before retesting. We thought about keeping him, but we have two other dogs that he does not get along with very well. Positives: He is very smart, trainable, lovable and active. Negatives: He can be spooked by loud/sudden noises such as landscape equipment, vacuum cleaners etc., which may result in anxiety. He would be good for an adult home (older may be children OK) with no other pets and can provide attention, training, and exercise. Also loves belly rubs and periodically howl at sirens (it's funny).
