Story
First - the adoption fee will be sent to the Michigan Humane Society to help with all the animals they rescue. I have had this sweet, kiss giving girl for several months now. I got her thru a friend of a friend when her one and only owner passed and the owner's family could not keep the dog. They thought she was about 8 or 9 years old. She was raised with an invisible fencing system. I do not have one. I do not have a fenced in yard. I take her on walks during the day. I am a Senior citizen and I am not steady on my feet and I have poor balance. She has pulled me down once and I am afraid of it happening again. She is so sweet and loves to sit next to you and cuddle. She does not realize her strength. She would do great with a house full of kids or a Senior with a fenced yard. She loves to play fetch and actually brings the ball back & gives it to you! Please help me find a good home for this sweet girl.

Story
Murphy is a 3.5 year-old male (Beagle/Aus Shepherd mix,45-50lbs). He had his shots and has been neutered. He was originally adopted from Michigan Humane in 2021 (chipped). Was found as a stray in Detroit Palmer Park, apparently the original owner did want him anymore. The couple that found him could not keep him, so he was adopted by my family in April 2024. He was found to be heart worm positive and has gone through treatments in May and June. He is now in the 120-day waiting period before retesting. We thought about keeping him, but we have two other dogs that he does not get along with very well. Positives: He is very smart, trainable, lovable and active. Negatives: He can be spooked by loud/sudden noises such as landscape equipment, vacuum cleaners etc., which may result in anxiety. He would be good for an adult home (older may be children OK) with no other pets and can provide attention, training, and exercise. Also loves belly rubs and periodically howl at sirens (it's funny).

Story
Sadly, we are looking to re-home our dog Kratos. He’s a mutt that’s turning 6 this year. He grew up with us when I was on night shift so he is a total couch potato and sleeps most of the time. He does have a few anxious tendencies like being afraid of storms and loud noises. He also likes to be able to roam the whole house and not stay outside too long unless you’re out there with him. He really is a sweet boy, but he is more hesitant around children. He does well with other dogs and even cats (he mainly leaves them alone). Our schedule has also gotten a lot busier since moving and having a 18 month old, we just don’t have the time to dedicate to him that we would like. He loves to play fetch, he knows quite a few commands and will do just about anything for food or a treat!!

Story
SPONSORED ADOPTION FEE!! Hello! My name is Monkey and I am a stray that no one ever came for. When I showed up with Animal Control, I was pretty beat up. My neck and face had a bunch of healing lacerations. I had an ear infection and I was very dirty. I am Heartworm positive which is why I am listed as special needs. The treatment is being covered by the shelter, but if I go home before I'm negative, I must return the 26th of each month to receive another treatment. I am docile, independent, shy, and loving. I just need a place to call home.
