Meet Winnie My foster mom worked with me so that I could to move to a shelter and show off all of my talents. Just today, I had my first experience with a gentle leader and I was such a good sport even though I am already a pretty good on-leash walker. I am 4 years old and around 55 lbs., treat-motivated and that is a great way to introduce me to new people. I lived with a cat, but am still excited by chipmunks and bunnies when we walk in the park -- which I LOVE to do. I was excellent at my veterinarian appointment even during my manicure. I am somewhat selective when it comes to other dogs, so the best thing to do if you want to add me to a family with other dogs is to set up a meet so we can see if we will hit it off.

Winnie is a sweet, playful 1-year-old Mountain Cur mix with a whole lot of love to give. True to the breed, she’s energetic, intelligent, and incredibly loyal. Winnie enjoys playing ball (she’ll place the toy right in your lap, ready for the next throw), rides great in the car, and already knows several commands. She gets along well with both dogs and cats. Winnie came to us as a stray, and it was amazing how quickly she settled into her foster home—within hours she was comfortable, relaxed, and already showing off her sweet, loving personality, which really speaks to what a wonderful dog she is. Winnie is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find her forever home. She is 4 DX tested and negative . My one blue eye gives me a unique look. I'm a pretty active guy and would love to have a fenced yard or a very active family who will take me on adventures. I'd make an excellent hiking buddy. I seem to get along with most dogs and would love a meet and greet with any dogs in your home. About cats- that's an entirely different story- they are made for one thing...chasing!! Spot was born 01/25/2024 and weighs 60 lbs . He is house and crate trained and does well with other dogs and children. The adoption fee includes the neuter, microchip with lifetime registration, vaccinations (which include DHLPPC, Lyme, Bordetella & Rabies) dewormings and heartworm/lyme testing. Spot is participating in the cell dog program which is where the dog stays at the prison with a dog handler working on basic obedience and house, crate, and leash training. It's an amazing program!
