Story
Hi! My name is Princess and I am a 5 year, possible catahoula/mountain curr mix and I weigh 49 pounds. My previous owners had to move and their new home didn't allow pets. I am a happy dog and I'm like a Walmart greeter - everyone is my friend. I know how to sit when told and shake. One of my favorite things to do is to go for walks. I try my best to behave but can tug on the leash here and there. And if I see a squirrel, I tug hard for a moment or two. I really want to chase them. I am a smart girl but with a bit of patience and training, I will be a well behaved dog. I currently live with another larger dog. We are good buddies. When I go to the dog park, I am cautious and curious around other dogs. When the leash is off, I love to run super fast. If you would like to meet Princess please fill out an application at www.rescueahart.org.

Story
Meet Cherry 🍒 2 year old, Mixed breed, 30lbs, female Cherry came to us a few months ago after she was abandoned in a parking lot with cardboard box full of newborn pups. Luckily a Good Samaritan picked her up and got her to safety. She had 8 beautiful pups and she was such a good mommy. Now it’s her turn to find a forever home! She is on the submissive side and good with other dogs. She is house trained, although we do think she has never lived indoors with a family. We are working on her confidence and she will need a patient home. Cherry is very sweet and loves her belly rubbed. We believe she may be a Mountain Cur mix. Cherry is now current on vaccines, heart worm tested negative, spay, and microchipped. We are accepting applications at https://form.jotform.com/secondhandpaws/app

These pups are in Dayton, Ohio too!

Story
Hi, my Dog name is Kolby, please adopt me, Time running out for me. Jordan is the owner of the dog Kolby and lives in Kettering. Jordan has 2 small children and works full time and doesn't have the time so I'm helping Jordan. Jordan will have the final word on who takes Kolby. l will be the go between for now then Jordan will take over. Jordan has a lifestyle change and doesn't feel comfortable with Kolby around the small children. They have another dog the are keeping. They are also remodeling a house they are trying to get moved into soon. They cannot take the dog with them. Jordan's mother-in-law has the dog now and can't keep the dog. She works full time and is older. Kolby would be good with a single person or adult couples with no children, older person or couples for a companion. Great dog, Kolby would love to make someone very happy. He is a beautiful looking dog and playful. Prayers for a New Home. Kolby is 9 yrs old. Knows commands. Listens, loves treats. Purina 1
