Story
Hi, I’m Leddy! I’m a female, 12yr old, 35lb, spayed Mountain Cur and Boxer mix. I always stay up to date on all of my vetting. I live in Holts Summit, MO. I’m house trained and extremely calm with all animals and kiddos. I love treats, long naps, and hanging out with my peoples! I would prefer to be by your side at all times. Leddy would really love to be with someone that has the time to spend with her. She is and extremely well mannered dog, knows many tricks, and listens well. Current owners have had her since she was a puppy but introducing a child into the family and will need all focus on them due to work and other health related reasons.

Story
Meet Jaeger, a Mountain Cur mix who is eagerly searching for a loving forever home. Jaeger's life began as an outside dog, surrendered to us due to no fault of his own. His previous family had to move and felt that he wouldn't be happy in their new home. Jaeger has been waiting for a long time in search of his forever family, as he originally came to our shelter in summer of 2020. It does take a little work to win him over, but once you do, he will certainly be your buddy for life! Once he establishes a connection with his human, he will go above and beyond to show his unwavering devotion. In his time with us, Jaeger has graduated the Puppies for Parole program through our partnering correctional center. From his handler we learned Jaeger is very intelligent, easily trained, and highly food motivated. Through his opportunity with P4P, he has been house trained, crate trained, taught basic obedience, and started on home manners! We also learned from his handler that when it comes to favorite pastimes, cuddle sessions take the top spot for Jaeger. He has certainly come a long way from being someone's forgotten farm dog! Here at the shelter, Jaeger goes out in a playgroup with other dogs, but it should be noted that he is the dominant one. By providing him with a loving home, you will witness the transformation of a wary dog into a devoted and affectionate family member. Story
Say hello to Jorah! We guess him to be a Mountain Cur or Plott Hound mix. He is another one of our Forget-Me-Nots. He was abandoned on farmland with his sister, so when the farmer was able to catch them both, they were brought to us. Both were in pretty rough shape, but with proper care their coats filled in nicely. It takes a bit of time for Jorah to trust strangers, but once he picks a person, he bonds hard to that person. He can tolerate the company of other dogs. He was adopted once and returned when he couldn't handle being alone for extended periods of time. He really is a sweet guy and loves attention and affection. He just needs the opportunity to bond. Also, Jorah is very trainable and knows some commands. Jorah needs to be the ONLY ANIMAL IN THE HOME. He is best suited for a single person, living alone. If you think you can manage a dog that bonds very strongly to the only person in the home, Jorah might just be the dog for you. Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: Black Weight: 63.6 Age: 5yrs 11mths 1wks
