He gets along well with other dogs of all ages and sizes, so he'd likely be fine with or without another dog in the home. His friendly personality will likely do well with a cat or kid sibling. He is a smart boy learning the ropes of puppyhood, quickly picking up basic commands like ‘sit’. He also sleeps in his crate overnight without a peep. Scout has had zero accidents since coming north and will continue to need to be taken out regularly as a young pup. He is improving his leash skills and enjoys his daily walks. Scout’s got the best ears in town as part of the ‘one up, one down’ ear club. This sweet girl has a beautiful orange and black brindle hair coat that reminds you of a tiger, which is how she got her name. Her favorite things in life besides regular meals and snacks are squeaky toys, antlers, and chew toys. She already knows sit and is very responsive to training. She is great with all her dog buddies in her foster home and can easily keep up with the giants and the littles amongst the group. While she has not met a cat yet, being a puppy with a submissive personality, she would most likely adjust to a home with a dog-savvy cat. Tiger Lily is good with kids as well.Tiger Lily is medium energy and crates easily for treats and meals and will sleep for hours after a good walk or romp outside. She is house trained if let out every 4 hours or so. Once on a regular routine, she should adapt quickly. Tiger Lily walks well on a leash and is very submissive when meeting any new dogs while on leash. She’s curious about everything around her, and If she trusts you, she will go anywhere you go. Tiger Lily loves people and will be a great addition to her new family! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
Razzle Taz has the most beautiful coal black eyes that pierce  your soul as he stares at you begging for some love and attention.  This boy was taken from an abusive family who were bragging to co-workers about kicking and tying him up.  The co-worker contacted Critter Cavalry and we found a wonderful foster family that is spending time getting to know Razzle Taz and what his emotional and physical needs will be in life.  This boy is 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds.  He is slim and  sleek and has the energy of 3 puppies.   This boy is so smart and curious and he needs mentally fun challenges daily and some real walking and exercise time in a fenced backyard or on the road running with an active person.  This boy is very smart and would benefit from games, flyball, agility classes, just thinking activities paired with exercise.  He is friendly with everyone and good with cats, dogs, children and ready to take on learning all he can about the world.   If your are interested in this Mountain Cur mix pup please write to us atccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 30, 2024, 2:10 pm

Story
Honestly, Sara is near perfect! If you are looking for a furry friend that isn't a Doodle, then stop and read about Sara. First of all, a little backstory on her. Sarah belonged to an older couple and was loved and adored. You can tell how well cared for and loved she has been. The husband passed away, and the wife went to live with family in Middle, Tennessee, but quickly had a stroke. The family she is currently living with already have a dog and a cat and work full-time so adding another medically fragile human and another dog is just overwhelming for them. They are trying everything to find Sara a great home and so are we! Sarah is between five and six years old and around 60 pounds. She is completely housetrained, loves other dogs and is fine with cats. She is a love bug and is eager to please. She's good on a leash, doesn't bark, doesn't chew things up, sits on command and will go to her bed upon being told to. Sara seems to mimic the energy of the other dog in the household. He's super low-key so she is super low-key! However, if another dog wants to play, she would probably play. She sits patiently at the door if she has to go potty. She doesn't scratch at it and just sits so sweetly waiting. Sara doesn't require crating either. She is just a super dog with the best disposition! If you think she might be a good addition to your home, email Storkwoods@comcast.net and request an application. She will melt your heart! We have transport available!!

Story
Meet Sampson, a happy, bouncy, and super wiggly guy who loves to play fetch and go for runs! He is full of energy and would make a great adventure companion for a hiker, runner, or otherwise active and outdoorsy adopter. Lots of things make Sampson excited, so adopters should continue to train with him and provide plenty of enrichment so he can learn to settle and enjoy quiet time. For an energetic and enthusiastic pup, he`s also surprisingly snuggly - he is very affectionate and loves belly rubs from his human friends. He`s still learning the difference between a play session and snuggle time, and could use some support to successfully make that transition. Kids in the home should be able to participate in training and unfazed by a bouncy pup and his goofy antics. If you think Sampson could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by MSPCA Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours 11:30am-5pm daily - no appointment or application needed. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat areas will remain open to walk through.s will remain open to walk through.
