She loves to snuggle up with her humans and accompany them on their adventures. Tiger Lily is an adaptable girl who will make a wonderful addition to any family who is looking to welcome a puppy. She is a medium energy pup who plays hard and naps harder. She is great with all her dog buddies in her foster home and can easily keep up with the giants and the littles amongst the group. While she has not met a cat yet, being a puppy with a submissive personality, she would most likely adjust to a home with a dog-savvy cat. Tiger Lily has interacted well with kids in her foster home and would be best with dog-savvy kids. Her favorite things also include squeaky toys, antlers, and chew toys.Tiger Lily is a smart girl and eager to please, she has already learned “sit”. She is fully crate trained and sleeps soundly in her crate overnight and is crated for a few hours throughout the workday. Tiger Lily is mostly house-trained but will continue to improve with time and consistency. She enjoys going for her neighborhood walks and has made amazing progress on her leash skills.Tiger Lily’s got a beautiful brindle coat to match or equally amazing temperament- is she the newest member of your family? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Confident, calm, curious and cuddly, this pup just loves being with her people. She is medium to low energy, but does enjoy her walks and playtime. Mostly, she just loves snuggling anyone and everyone!  This adaptable girl has been fostered in both a household with multiple dogs, cats and children and also in a household with just humans in the city.   She has done great in both environments! She is good with dogs with a proper introduction as she needs a bit of time and space to get to know them. She loves to entertain herself with bones, squeaky toys, and tennis balls.Pumpkin is a puppy and still working on her leash skills however she is a fast learner.  She will go willingly into the crate with a little coaxing of a treat or toy and once settled in, she will sleep through the night or relax for a few hours during the day.  She is housetrained and will alert you that she needs to go out by going to the door.  Keeping her on a regular schedule will reinforce her housetraining. Pumpkin is an adorable pup that is going to bring a lot of joy and snuggles to one very lucky family! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
Razzle Taz has the most beautiful coal black eyes that pierce  your soul as he stares at you begging for some love and attention.  This boy was taken from an abusive family who were bragging to co-workers about kicking and tying him up.  The co-worker contacted Critter Cavalry and we found a wonderful foster family that is spending time getting to know Razzle Taz and what his emotional and physical needs will be in life.  This boy is 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds.  He is slim and  sleek and has the energy of 3 puppies.   This boy is so smart and curious and he needs mentally fun challenges daily and some real walking and exercise time in a fenced backyard or on the road running with an active person.  This boy is very smart and would benefit from games, flyball, agility classes, just thinking activities paired with exercise.  He is friendly with everyone and good with cats, dogs, children and ready to take on learning all he can about the world.   If your are interested in this Mountain Cur mix pup please write to us atccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 30, 2024, 2:10 pm

Story
Oakley, affectionately known as 'Dottie girl ' by her foster family, has such a sweet, lovable, big personality and is very eager to please!  This Pit/Mountain Curr mix is a total Phoenix that has risen from the fires of neglect, abandonment and even successfully raised her litter of puppies in the woods for the first 10 weeks of life. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families.  Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way.  She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance.  This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt.  Take her Pit mix package look away and please consider only her SOUL?  Trust us, you will not want to look elsewhere for the most perfect and beautiful temperamented dog.  Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash.  When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike.  This girl loves to play dress up in cozy sweaters and loves a good chew toy. HOW FUN!???? RIGHT?  If you have children she is right there to engage and play with them and their fantasies.  This Momma dog is just a young 2yr old, 40lb sweetheart who longs to be an inside dog that can cuddle up next to you on the couch and help you melt the life challenges away.   Oakley had outsmarted many rescuers for months running around the county with her litter of puppies being. When she gave in we realized what a remarkable Mom she was and the beauty of her puppies.  All of her puppies have been adopted, but now Oakley is raising her heart and hand to say…. Pick Me Too!  She deserves a remarkable future and life because she will provide the amazing dog companion to someone that can ever be imagined.  Forget the wrapper on the package and consider the heart please…You won’t regret living a life with Oakley. Story
We adopted Louie from Last Hope K9 rescue in early 2020. He was a loving and energetic dog, which we were excited about. He was doing great during his first year, had acclimated to our house, acclimated again after we moved a year later, had success at dog parks and doggie daycare, etc. Unfortunately, he ended up having heartworm, which required significant exercise restriction, no socialization, etc. He has never quite gotten back to where he was before heartworm. He is very reactive towards some dogs (definitely not all -- he currently goes on a daily walk with 1-2 other dogs at the same time and they all get along fine) and he is very high energy in the house which is difficult when we have an infant and toddler. I think Louie would do great with a family that is able to give him more of the time, energy, and attention that he deserves. Unfortunately we are not able to give him that and I do not see that changing any time soon. We are hoping to find a good home for Louie.
