Meet Poochie, a sweet and loving 9-year-old Shorkie looking for his forever home. This gentle soul is currently being cared for by family that loving call him “Goose”, but he needs a permanent home where he can thrive in his golden years. He's known as a social butterfly that gets along with other dogs and children.    November is Adopt a Senior Month, making it the perfect time to open your heart to a senior dog like Poochie. Despite having some medical issues, his spirit is unbroken, and he has so much love to give. He enjoys quiet moments, gentle pats, and being close to his humans.    Poochie does have a cough from a collapsing trachea when he gets worked up although otherwise quiet, so we're seeking a serene and loving home where he can be the center of attention and receive the care and comfort he deserves. He's already housebroken and crate trained making him an easy addition to any home. If you're looking for a loyal and sweet companion to share your life with, Poochie might just be the perfect fit for you.   To meet Poochie, please fill out an application!    Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application.  Adoption donation of $295 includes spay/neuter, microchip, deworming, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption.   Dallas/Ft. Story
Chloe is a maltese terrier mix weighing about 12 lbs. She is 10 years old and in good health. I have had her since 2015. She does have arthritis and had knee surgery in 2020. Chloe has separation anxiety and requires someone who is home most of the day. She is used to sleeping in bed with humans. She does not like crates. She does not do well with kids who play rough. She has never bit anyone but will growl or snap when in pain or afraid. She generally does not like other animals, but may be fine with certain smaller breed docile personalities. I will provide food and routine health care costs for Chloe for the remainder of her life. However, you must be willing to care for her for the remainder of her life.
