Story
*I'm located in Georgia but can be transported* Name: Monty Breed: Maltese Mix Sex/Age/Weight: Male/15-18 months/15 lbs Vetting: Fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. Is receiving flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention House trained/Crate Trained: he does very well left loose in the house. There are no accidents since learning the doggy door. He is excellent in a crate. He has slept in a crate with no issues. He now sleeps loose in my bedroom. Dogs/Cats/Children: GREAT with other dogs of all sizes. He wants to play with my cat, but is too rough. He absolutely loves to play. He's been around children from 3 to13. The only issue is he jumps when over excited. Energy Level: Moderately high – Monty is a typical young pup. He absolutely needs space to run and play in. He would love a fur brother or sister. Before FAR/My History: Monty was found on a road in Macon just before the winter storm hit. He was thin and covered in fleas, but very lovable. Training Status/Commands I know: I know my name, and respond and come when called. Working on: We are working on walking on a leash, confidently getting in the car, and not jumping. Things I like: Playing with any sort of toys! LOVES playing with other dogs. Things I don’t like: Not enough play time. Things that make my humans happy: When I get a lot of playtime and I am all tuckered out, snuggling with my foster mom! He seems to just love and want to be around people all the time! Ideal Family/Home: Monty is a moderately energetic and playful boy, so he would do great with an active family with a fenced yard. A family who understands this and is willing to work with him and give him the time he needs to run and play, as well as training to help him be his best self. A home with other dogs would be ideal because he absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs.
