• Rescue Story
: A dog with its eyes completely missing, a dog whose body was entirely blackened, a dog with rotting genitals... We struggle to find the words to describe the horrors we witnessed. Like hamsters on a wheel, the dogs cried out for help. There were every kind of dog here, some that were once fashionable and others currently in demand. The once trendy dogs were dying in the corner, while those now popular were crying out for salvation with every part of their body. This place had been illegally breeding and abusing animals for 25 years. From this hell, the rescue team saved Momo.
• Personality: Loves people, loves friends, affectionate
Momo loves people and is very affectionate. Momo loves almost everyone she meets, but if she has bad memories, she might show discomfort if suddenly lifted, especially if her belly is touched. People who often praise her with positive expressions like "pretty," "good girl," and "the best" will be the best fit for Momo.
• Affinity with
-Cats: Not tested
-Dogs: Momo gets along well with all dog friends. She has never shown rejection or dislike, but she has not yet experienced outdoor walks and meeting new dogs in public. We will need to observe Momo’s reactions when she meets different dogs in the future. She would do well with a calm companion, but whether she has a cohabiting dog or not does not seem to significantly affect her life.
-Adults/Kids: She gets along with all the activists and volunteers she meets at the facility. / Not tested with kids
• Shedding: 1-2 (1-10 scale)
• Walking Manners: Momo has not yet had a proper walk. Once her adoption is confirmed, the rescue team will provide her with as much walking training as possible, but the adopter will need to continue practicing walking with her.
• Housetrained: Momo currently only uses indoor pads. She still needs training, but once her adoption is confirmed, the rescue team will continue pad training, though the adopter will need to continue training with her as well.
• Separation Anxiety: Not that we are aware of, but she really loves people and might become dependent on her family.
• Likes & Dislikes: Likes people, touches, treats, and comfortable places! / Not a fan of sudden lifting, especially when her belly is touched.
• Health: Momo doesn’t make noise when barking, possibly due to illegal procedures performed at the breeding facility. She had surgery on her right patella and is currently undergoing rehabilitation. The right mammary gland 1-2 has benign lesions, which have been treated with cryotherapy. Her left mammary gland 4 had malignant lesions, so a mammary surgery was performed. Also, given that the dog was rescued from a puppy mill, we believed she was likely pregnant in the past.
