Story
Marquez is the sweetest little boy who needs lots of love and attention. I got Marquez when he was 8 weeks old. He is now 9 years old. He is not neutered, unfortunately, as I had plans of making more of him because he was so cute, but never did. Because he is not neutered, he does have an issue with marking in the house. As long as he has access to potty outside when he needs, it's not too big of a problem. He has been with our family since day one, and we love him very much, but we have a three year old daughter, both work full time, and we are unable to give him the love and attention he deserves. He is overall healthy, but aging. With that comes more vet bills, and transparently, we aren't able to keep up with them. He has this lingering sniffle/sneeze attack situation that we've taken him in for a few times. Other than that, he is healthy and happy, but he is needy and needs to be around people constantly. All he wants is love. He will need to be re-chipped.

Story
Meet Robin our adorable 5-year-old Maltese-Shih Tzu mix — a 10-pound bundle of love with one stunning blue eye that makes her truly unforgettable. She’s incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happiest when she’s close to her people. Whether she’s carrying around her favorite toy, heading out for a walk, or curling up beside you for a cozy night in. She loves snuggling on the couch, especially if there’s a good rom-com playing on TV and a favorite snack nearby. She will make the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. Robin has great house manners, is good with other dogs, but would be happy as an only pal. Sweet Robin is fully vaccinated, spayed, and in great health. No out of state adoptions. No apartment living.

Story
ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. Meet Brian! Brian is a mischievous 2-year-old, 15-lb Yorkshire Terrier mix with permanent bedhead and a big personality to match! This playful little guy is full of energy and would love a home with a yard where he can zoom around and burn it off. After a day of adventures, Brian is happy to curl up and sleep soundly through the night. Brian loves toys and especially enjoys playing chase with other dogs. When he gets excited during playtime, he may nip a little—but it’s all part of his playful spirit and not aggressive behavior. He’s currently working on his manners and will benefit from continued training, as he can be reactive when meeting new dogs or people. He walks well on a harness and leash and has even been a great little walking buddy for a senior dog in his foster home. Brian is almost pee-pad trained but definitely prefers doing his business outside. Brian’s ideal home: • Active household with a yard • Another dog to play with would be great • Someone willing to continue his training and help him build confidence If you’re looking for a spunky little companion who will keep you smiling, Brian might be your guy! Brian is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on all vaccines. His adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  May 16, 2026, 10:53 pm
