Story
This sweet senior is Prince. He’s fully house and crate trained, good with cats and dogs.  He’s fully blind, and despite that will manage to follow you around the house 24/7. He is a very very clingy boy, that would definitely benefit in a home where he can be the center of attention. He’s very loving and affectionate, and wants nothing more than to be in your lap or be held all the time. Itwould be best if he went to a home that’s a little more on the quiet side, he doesn’t mind most noises, but any very loud abrupt sounds scare him a lot.  Also despite being a little older and not being able to see, he still has quite a bit of energy in him, and loves to play with the other dogs. Although like every senior dog, he still loves his nap time. Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. Meet Clio! Clio is a quiet dog who would do best in a quieter environment.  She she timid at first but warms up quickly. Clio is a follower so it would be ideal to have another calm dog in the home to show her the ropes.  She loves being outside so a fenced yard would be preferred.   She gets along with other dogs and has been indifferent to the young child in her foster home.   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Story
OWNER PLACEMENT ASSISTED BY SCHNAUZER RESCUE OF THE CAROLINAS   BRUTUS (SRC#3106) is the largest of the group in the Mini Schnauzers being placed from the Clayton area. He just weighed in at 27.6 pounds and he is solid as a rock!  His human Mom was diagnosed with lung cancer so neutering and spaying the Minis was something that this family had at the time was forgotten.  As a surprise, Snookie then had a litter of 5 puppies, with Brutus being the largest of all. These Minis gave Susan, their human Mom, great pleasure so none of them were placed until after she went to be with her Lord.  Her burial was on September 1, 2024 and at that time their human Dad felt it was time for them to be placed in loving homes where they would get individual attention.   Their human Dad loves them with all his heart and is determined that they have the best possible future, something he will not always be able to provide.  SRC is committed to helping him assure that happens. Brutus, such an adorable pup,  is very loving and has been raised in remarkable fashion. Brutus has NEVER been crated.  He receives bottled water to drink, and in addition to his kibble and canned dogfood, his dinner meal consists of a lean meat cooked with veggies (no corn). A fenced yard is a must for Brutus . These Mini males are exceptionally loving yet they have never been exposed to children, so it is best if Brutus is  placed in a home that does not have younger children. He does not require another dog to keep him company as long as his human companion is spending ample time with him. Still Brutus, like all Mini Schnauzers, will enjoy the company of another playmate.  A fenced yard will help when training him to walk on a leash -- plus always use a halter.  Brutus is now 27.6 pounds and he loves to eat! He is not fat -- just a larger Mini.   Like all the others in this family, he is a remarkable Mini Schnauzer and will be an excellent addition to any loving adoptive family . Brutus enjoys being a lap-baby and a good belly rub is never turned down.  In order to adopt Brutus, you must have experience with his breed.  Brutus was just groomed and the groomer cut off what was either a mole or a cyst on the left side of  his face which bled and left a scab.  His human Dad took him to the vet to have it checked -- the vet felt it was no problem and would heal well.  No antibiotics were prescribed.     THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN CLAYTON, NC THE DONATION BEING REQUESTED IN HONOR OF THE ADOPTON IS: $400 Please submit a completed adoption application and with that application, submit vet records for any pets you have had within the last 5 years along with photos of your residence including the yard (including the fencing).  The owner of this Schnauzer will review all approved applications and documentation that SRC sends to them.  They will contact you to ask questions and to answer any questions you may have.  At that point if a meet and greet has been scheduled, an adoption contract will be sent to you which you must sign and return to SRC.  If the meet and greet goes well, your donation of $400. (tax deductible)  may be made online so that the release of the Schnauzer may happen.  SRC will notify the owner of this Schnauzer when the donation is completed so that they may release the Schnauzer to their new adoptive home.  SRC will register his/her micro-chip in the new adoptive parents’ name(s)  October 28, 2024, 2:28 pm

Story
OWNER PLACEMENT  ASSISTED BY SCHNAUZER RESCUE OF THE CAROLINAS     Bear (SRC#3102)was born on November 8, 2022. He is being placed for adoption because his human Mommy passed away recently and his human Dad can no longer provide the many (7 Schnauzers) in his family with the attention he wants them to have.  Their human Dad loves them with all his heart and is determined that each one of them receive the best possible future they can have. SRC is committed to helping him assure that happens. This adorable pup is very loving and has  been raised in remarkable fashion.  Bear receives bottled water to drink, and in addition to his kibble and canned dogfood, his dinner meal consists of a lean meat cooked with veggies (no corn).   Bear is  leash trained with halter; yet it has been some time since he has been able to be walked on leashes since their human Mom became ill, so therefore a fenced yard is a must. This Mini male is exceptionally loving yet he has never been exposed to children so it is best if Bear is placed in a home that does not have younger children in it. Bear has not yet been neutered, because when he was only 16 weeks old, Bear  broke his hind leg and was in a cast for a long period of time.  Since he was so  fragile, his loving owner has never had Bear neutered for fear of it changing his personality since he had to spend such a long time healing. Bear cannot be neutered without the thorough examination of a vet after he has settled in to his new adoptive home.  We at SRC and his current owner do not wish to have Bear go through such trauma immediately upon leaving his loving home. Bear must have a vet's recommendation that he is able to be neutered and then a tax letter will be provided for that expenditure. Bear is heartworm negative and has had all his vaccinations. If Bear is placed with another dog, it should be a spayed female.    THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN CLAYTON, N.C. THE DONATION BEING REQUESTED IN HONOR OF THE ADOPTION IS: $325 and tax letter will be provided for neuter if vet recommends that he is able to be altered. Please submit a completed adoption application and with that application, submit vet records for any pets you have had within the last 5 years along with photos of your residence including the yard (including the fencing).  The owner of this Schnauzer will review all approved applications and documentation that SRC sends to them.  Once they have discussed this documentation with the Director of SRC, they will contact you to ask questions and to answer any questions you may have.  At that point if a meet and greet has been scheduled, an adoption contract will be sent to you which you must sign and return to SRC.  If the meet and greet goes well, your donation of $500.00       (tax deductible)  may be made online so that the release of these Schnauzers may happen.  SRC will notify the owner of  Teddy and Bear when the donation is completed so that they may release them to their new adoptive home.  SRC will register their micro-chips in the new adoptive parents’ name(s) at no additional charge.October 28, 2024, 2:28 pm
