Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Maya, A female Poodle-Jack Russell Terrier Puppy.                                        Let me introduce you to Maya. Maya was born on August 9th, 2024. She is currently 4 months old.  Maya is a brilliant, curious, people-oriented dog who loves to play with her foster siblings. Maya Learned how to sit, stay, and come in her first week in foster care. She is 4 months old and ready for her forever family. Maya will need adopters with another 1-2 adult, dog-friendly, small-breed pup(s) in the home to mentor her and teach Maya how to be a family member. Maya weighs 8.2 pounds and will be in the 15-pound range as an adult. Like all puppies, she is sweet, curious, and very high-energy. Maya will need committed adopters who are willing to be patient and put in the time and energy to train her. Maya will also need someone to be with her during the day for potty training, mid-day feeding, training, and general care so she will grow up to be a well-adjusted dog. Maya received her first vaccine on October 10th, a second one on October 24th, and her final vaccine in November. Adopting Maya :   Please use the link below to apply. One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match for this pup. The next step is a meet and greet if a match can be made. Please use a computer, as tablets and cell phones will drop the application. Maya has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble instead of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition.  Maya has a $595.00 adoption fee. All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**WILLOW**   Willow is a sweet, loving, and playful girl who is approximately one year old. She was brought to the shelter for safety after being found as a stray and was never claimed. When she arrived, her fur was over 10 inches long and a tangled mess, dyed pink and blue. Now, Willow is a happy girl and loves her new haircut. Willow has albinism, which means her skin and eyes lack melanin, making it difficult to protect her from the sun's rays. Fortunately, living in the Northwest for six months of the year helps shield her from the sun. However, during the other six months, she will need sunscreen on her nose, special goggles, and a jacket when she walks. Aside from her albinism, Willow is healthy, happy, and easygoing. Willow is a sweetie who loves to cuddle, be brushed, and talk to. She likes her toys, playing with other dogs, and just being a dog. Adopting Willow:  Please use the link below to apply. One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match for this pup. Willow has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble instead of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. Story
Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 4 year old 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.    Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He catches on to new commands quickly. Ramen would do best in an adult only household, as it takes him time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has shown a tendency to resource guard when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age.   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ramen was surrendered to Carson city shelter and transported to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts arriving to foster care on 5/19/24; he will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. December 6, 2024, 11:33 am

Story
Animal Profile: Walter is an approximately 2 year old, ~16lb male poodle mix who was originally rescued from San Bernardino, CA. He was adopted and returned back to us when his family could no longer care for him.  Foster Update:   Meet Walter! He is a special boy looking for his forever family. In his foster home, Walter is driven by toys and especially loves playing fetch. He has good energy, and really enjoys taking walks outside. He has displayed good leash manners a majority of the time, but has pulled when he is excited. Ongoing leash training will be a benefit to Walter, so that he can continue with positive leash manners. He is very smart and motivated, and has learned a variety of tricks, from "roll over" to "paw" or "bang" from his foster. Walter's largest hurdles have been his wariness around strangers, and necessity for clear boundaries from his humans. While Walter is very affectionate with his foster family, he can take a little time to warm up to someone new, and does not appreciate strangers trying to pet him. It is important that his forever family can advocate for him when out in public or around new people, as it can be stressful for Walter if he feels like he always has to stand up for his needs. There are times where Walter may test boundaries within the home or be a bit more mouthy to communicate, so it is important that his family is comfortable setting clear boundaries for Walter so he knows what behaviors are and aren't allowed. The more Walter has clear expectations to follow and is advocated for, the more he can thrive. Due to his ability to be more mouthy, we are looking for an adult-only home for him. Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to the San Bernardino City shelter on Jan 26 and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle arriving to foster care on Feb 4, 2024. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.December 6, 2024, 11:33 am

Story
Gismo is a 2-year-old Poodle male about 15 lb. He's pretty good with other dogs and is being fostered in a home. His previous home was unable to keep him. He's can be vocal and high-strung. He's very cuddly and cute once he gets to know you. He can be wary of new people and new situations so taking it slow when you first meet him is crucial. He does fine in a crate. Gismo would do best with a single owner. He does fine with other dogs. No kids for Gismo, as he can bite when he's frightened or feels cornered. Gismo needs a family with a lot of rescue experience for him to overcome his behavioral issues. Gismo is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $500.
