You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Maya, A tan female Poodle Jack Russel Terrier.                                        Maya was born on August 9th.  Maya is a brilliant, curious, people-oriented dog who loves to play with her foster siblings. Maya Learned how to sit, stay, and come in her first week in foster care. She is 3 months old and ready for her forever family. Maya will need adopters with another 1-2 adult, dog-friendly, small-breed pup(s) in the home to mentor her and teach Maya how to be a family member. Maya weighs approximately 6.5 pounds and will be in the 15-pound range as an adult. Like all puppies, she is sweet, curious, and very high-energy. Maya will need committed adopters who are willing to be patient and put in the time and energy to train her. Maya will also need someone to be with her during the day for potty training, mid-day feeding, training, and general care so they grow up to be well-adjusted dogs. They received their first vaccine on October 10th and a second one on October 24th. If Maya did not receive her third and final vaccine, an adult DHPP, at the time of adoption, she will need it. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This resilient 7-year-old poodle has been through a lot but is now ready for a loving home. Found on the streets with one of the worst cases of matting we’ve ever seen, his hair was so long it touched the ground. Sadly, neighborhood kids threw rocks at him as he ran through the streets, terrified and alone. It took an experienced trapper to safely bring him to our facility, where he arrived shaking and too scared to be touched by anyone. However, with time, patience, and care, he has blossomed into a wonderful companion. He now enjoys daily walks, loves being pet, gets the excitement zoomies, and gets along well with other dogs. He is a laid-back boy who especially gets excited for his leash time, happily joining other dogs on walks. He seems to be potty/house trained, as he will wait to use the bathroom when he gets walked. Fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, this sweet poodle is ready to find his forever home. His adoption fee is $300. Could you be the one to give him the love he deserves?  Marley is currently in Texas, but transport is available to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note that an additional transport fee of $225 applies. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 12:09 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 4 year old 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.    Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He catches on to new commands quickly. Ramen would do best in an adult only household, as it takes him time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has showed a little resource guarding when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age.   Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ramen was surrendered to Carson city shelter and transported to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts arriving to foster care on 5/19/24; he will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. November 6, 2024, 5:36 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Walter is an approximately 2 year old, ~16lb male poodle mix who was originally rescued from San Bernardino, CA. He was adopted and returned back to us when his family could no longer care for him.  Foster Update:   Meet Walter! He is a special boy looking for his forever family. In his foster home, Walter is driven by toys and especially loves playing fetch. He has good energy, and really enjoys taking walks outside. He has displayed good leash manners a majority of the time, but has pulled when he is excited. Ongoing leash training will be a benefit to Walter, so that he can continue with positive leash manners. He is very smart and motivated, and has learned a variety of tricks, from "roll over" to "paw" or "bang" from his foster. Walter's largest hurdles have been his wariness around strangers, and necessity for clear boundaries from his humans. While Walter is very affectionate with his foster family, he can take a little time to warm up to someone new, and does not appreciate strangers trying to pet him. It is important that his forever family can advocate for him when out in public or around new people, as it can be stressful for Walter if he feels like he always has to stand up for his needs. There are times where Walter may test boundaries within the home or be a bit more mouthy to communicate, so it is important that his family is comfortable setting clear boundaries for Walter so he knows what behaviors are and aren't allowed. The more Walter has clear expectations to follow and is advocated for, the more he can thrive. Due to his ability to be more mouthy, we are looking for an adult-only home for him. Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to the San Bernardino City shelter on Jan 26 and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle arriving to foster care on Feb 4, 2024. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.November 12, 2024, 11:35 pm

Story
Gismo is a 2-year-old Poodle male about 15 lb. He's pretty good with other dogs and is being fostered in a home. His previous home was unable to keep him. He's can be vocal and high-strung. He's very cuddly and cute once he gets to know you. He can be wary of new people and new situations so taking it slow when you first meet him is crucial. He does fine in a crate. Gismo would do best with a single owner. He does fine with other dogs. No kids for Gismo, as he can bite when he's frightened or feels cornered. Gismo needs a family with a lot of rescue experience for him to overcome his behavioral issues. Gismo is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to Private! He is a 5-month-old, 11lb miniature poodle/terrier mix who came to us with his sister, Priya, from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding his forever home here in WA! Private is a very sweet puppy, but extremely shy and shut down. He will need a quiet and calm household for his forever home as well as a patient adopter that will give him time to open up and gain confidence. We are looking for a home outside of the city and busy apartment/condo living as he is fearful of the outside world. He enjoys other dogs and will require another dog in the home as they give him confidence. He will need a home that is committed to everything a puppy needs such as potty support and obedience training. He is a dog who require regular grooming. Private is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $550.
