Hello, my name is Rusty. I’m a breeder release, and I came into rescue with my very best friend Fancy, another lovely mini poodle. We were a breeding pair. She has been adopted, and it makes me sad and I really need an outgoing dog in my new home. Life is still pretty new and a little overwhelming for me, but with time and kindness, I’m learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I’m very shy around people because I didn’t get much socialization early in life. But don’t worry—once I warm up, I become shyly playful, especially with my foster mom. I’m still figuring out this whole “being loved” thing, and patient humans make all the difference. Where I truly shine is with other small playful dogs. They make me happy and give me joy. If you have a friendly, social dog at home, I bloom into a bouncy, happy boy. Without another dog, I become lonely, sad and unsure—so I must have a canine companion in my forever home. My potty training is still a work in progress, but I’m trying my best every day. I am not currently leash trained but working on it. Best in a fenced yard. Kids may be too much for me as fast movements scare me. If you’re patient, gentle, and have a sweet dog who wouldn’t mind a soft-hearted sidekick, I might just choose you as my special person. 📨 Apply to adopt at: www.campcompanion.org 💲 Adoption fee: $350 plus tax

Nova is a gentle, sensitive soul who’s looking for a patient and loving home. She was released from a breeding facility, so she is getting use to human contact. This shy pup is still learning that the world is a safe place and will need a calm adopter who can help build confidence at her pace. With encouragement, consistency, and lots of kindness, Nova continues to make progress every day. What really helps Nova shine is the company of other animals. She loves other dogs and does wonderfully with cats, making her a great candidate for a home with furry companions. Having a confident dog friend would be a big plus and a wonderful source of reassurance. Nova is potty trained but has not learned how to ask to go outside and uses potty pads at times. She does best with a predictable routine. She is still learning how to walk on a leash and would do best with a fenced in yard as she will be afraid of you at first. So a fenced yard will help with this process. Once settled, she is sweet, quiet, and deeply appreciative of gentle affection. Watching Nova gain trust and confidence is incredibly rewarding, and the bond you’ll build will be something truly special.
