Story
Meet Koda B 🐾 Koda is the ultimate best buddy, ready to make someone feel like the most special person in the world! Just over a year old, this affectionate, playful, and snuggly boy is full of energy and joy. He loves being part of the action, whether it’s hiking, running, chasing balls, tossing toys around, or even body-slamming pillows for fun. He also knows how to slow down and enjoy the quieter moments, whether that’s lounging in the window watching the world go by, cuddling on the couch, or joining in on a relaxing crafternoon. Koda started out a little nervous and tried to look tough, but the moment he stepped out of his carrier, his brave façade melted into pure sweetness. Now, he’s confident, loving, and loyal, lighting up whenever he sees the people caring for him. He thrives on human companionship and would adore an active adult who can give him plenty of adventures, love, and attention. Koda is great with other dogs, taking cues from them on how to behave, and he’s respectful with cats too. He would do best with a confident dog buddy or a human who can spend time teaching him the ropes and sharing lots of playtime. Koda is crate-trained and absolutely loves having his cozy spot to relax and feel safe. He’s making great progress with potty training and is currently wearing a stylish belly band indoors as a precaution while he perfects his routine. This clever boy already knows how to fetch a ball and is eager to learn even more skills with the right guidance. He is a total sweetheart who loves food, enjoys spa days, and with his growing poodle coat, will need regular grooming to keep him looking his best. Koda is playful, affectionate, and endlessly loyal, always ready to snuggle the cold away or join in on a playful adventure. One of his favorite pastimes is lounging in the window for his very own “outdoor TV,” happily watching the world go by. If you’ve been looking for a buddy who will fluff your pillows, play happily by your side, and shower you with love, Koda B is your guy. This boy is a total dream, and his fosters say they’d honestly keep him forever if they could. Koda is ready to find his perfect human and fill their life with fun, love, and endless snuggles. Could that be you? 💛 Fostered in Mondovi, WI. Apply at tailsofhopewi.org

Story
Snapshot of Mopsy: Size: Small (~15 lbs) Activity Level: Medium-ish – playful but LOVES to relax and snuggle Noise Level: Low – rarely barks Good with Dogs: Yes, great with dogs Good with Cats: She ignores them! Good with Kids: Loves them! Good with Strangers: Yes, loves everyone Potty Trained: Yep, after the initial "get to know you and the house" period Crate Trained: Yes, but also fine when left outside of it unattended Shedding: Low. She will need haircuts! Mopsy is a 2-year-old small mixed-breed girl (we think she may have some poodle in her!) with a soft black-and-white coat and an even softer heart. This sweet girl had a rough start—she came to us from animal control so severely matted that it was painful for her to even walk. But you’d never guess it from her spirit. From day one, Mopsy has been nothing but loving, gentle, and trusting. Now that she’s feeling better, her true personality shines. Mopsy absolutely adores kids and is wonderfully gentle with them. She gets along great with other dogs and happily joins in for playtime, but she’s just as content relaxing nearby. Cats? She couldn’t care less—she’s perfectly polite and uninterested. Mopsy has great house manners. She’s fully potty trained and has done an amazing job learning how to communicate when she needs to go out. She kennels beautifully (just say “Mopsy, kennel!” and she trots right in!) but also does perfectly fine hanging out freely in the home. Her energy level is easy to manage—she enjoys short walks, playtime in a fenced yard, and hanging out with her people. Toss in a few treats and she’s one happy girl! Mopsy is the definition of resilience and sweetness. All she needs now is a forever family to give her the love she’s always deserved. 💗 Mopsy is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations appropriate for her age. Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.
