Hi! My name is Cookie and I am from Minnesota. From her foster: Cookie a yorkipoo breeder release. She has diabetes and is blind, but still manages to be sweet and silly. She loves being with her humans and snuggles. She has strong opinions about being separated and will use her voice to let you know exactly how she feels. She is also pretty quick to settle down. She does seem to go potty and poop on a schedule but is also still prone to have accidents in the house. She doesn't have accidents in her kennel, on the furniture,or while being held. She does enjoy small walks and does okay on a leash. Because Cookie is blind I do feel that she would benefit from another small to medium sized dog in the house. She would need someone willing to keep a good schedule for her Insulin and to follow through with veterinarian appointments. From the Vet: I am Cookie and I have been cleared for adoption! After TBB helping to address my medical issues I will share where I am at with all of them. My diabetes is currently managed on insulin and a special veterinary diet. My diabetes will need to be monitored with a primary vet. I was seen for a mammary mass removal surgery recently and the good news is that the biopsy showed that the tumors were benign with good margins. This means that the removal procedure is likely to be curative for these masses and we do not expect me to need any future care for this issue. It is always good to routinely monitor for any masses and have them evaluated in the future should any present.

I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! I really am a sweet boy who is simply looking for the patience, unconditional love, and security that I SO richly deserve from my own fur-ever family! My journey started a bit shaky—literally. When I first came into rescue, I was so scared of people and this big, confusing world. But with the help of my amazing foster family, both the humans and my doggo friends, I’m slowly blossoming into a confident poodle princess. When I’m feeling playful, I love to throw toys around and chase them—it’s like I play fetch with myself! I also enjoy chewing on bones and going for walks, especially when I’m feeling frisky. But what I really love is curling up next to my foster humans and dog friends for some good cuddles. I’m learning more each day that the world can be a safe and fun place, even though I still get a little nervous sometimes. Loud noises and certain people can spook me, so I do best with a double leash when we’re out and about, just to make sure I stay safe. Speaking of being outside, I do well on walkies and really look forward to it. And guess what else?  I am also potty trained!!!  Because I am good with walkies, I do not need a yard, or a fence.  If you have one that's okay, but if you're in a place without them, so long as we go on walkies, I'm good.   I used to love my crate so much that I never wanted to leave, but now that I’m feeling braver, I’m not so into the whole crate thing. I don’t mind eating in there, but if you close the door, I’ll definitely let you know I’m not a fan! I mean, now that I'm learning how cool the world is, can you blame me for always wanting to be in it with you?  I’m also super attached to my foster dog siblings, especially the Cavaliers here. If I can’t see them, I get a little panicked, so another dog is required in my forever home to help me feel safe and confident. Oh, and did I mention I have the most beautiful blue eyes? I’m a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle and be close to my people. Watching me come out of my shell little by little has been really special for my foster family. Meet Jacob!Jacob is a 14-year-old, 13-pound apricot Mini Poodle who’s ready to spend his golden years surrounded by love. He’s house-trained and communicates when he needs to go outside—though he may need frequent potty breaks. While he doesn’t enjoy the crate, Jacob sleeps through the night without accidents.Despite some potential vision and hearing loss, Jacob’s affectionate nature shines. He loves burrowing in for snuggles and then settling in for a nap, always preferring to be close to his person. His calm demeanor makes him easy to have around, and he rarely gets overstimulated.Jacob also enjoys playing with toys and even a little fetch, showing bursts of youthful energy. He’s mobile, able to climb stairs, and enjoys half-mile walks, though his gait is a bit awkward. Hello my name is Amy and I'm originally from Missouri. I may be deaf but my mom tells me I am the prettiest little girl with my blue eyes and curly ears! I LOVE to be by my people, either by their feet or on their lap. I like to get my zoomies out and then I am the best cuddler/napper. I love to sleep with my humans, usually right by their neck. The kennel is not my favorite. I might have some separation anxiety too. My foster Mom is helping me with both issues so that someday I'll be a strong, confident companion. In the meantime, having another confident dog in the house is imperative for my mental, physical and emotional growth. I am learning how to do "all" things puppy. My leash training has been going well, I am just curious about everything so I make frequent stops. The resident dog has welcomed me and she is showing me the ropes. Sometimes she shows me her teeth when I get to be too much for her, I don't quite understand! I have been working hard on my potty training and I do really well on a schedule. Accidents are rare but every now and again, I just can't wait to get outside. Someday, I'll be perfect but until then, I'm just perfectly imperfect. My foster mom tells me I am bunny-like with as much as I jump around and land on all fours. I have managed to jump a baby gate and open a taller gate with my teeth. I am a very determined puppy who just wants to be with my people! I greet my family every morning and every time I see them with the best butt wiggle and tail wag. I'm also very food motivated and figured out how to jump up on the kitchen counter when there's food there. I'm pretty smart which helps with learning how to sit, touch, stop and come. I am not going to try to escape but since I'm deaf, I'm worried about what would happen if I ever got off leash. Accidents happen so I'm wearing an Apple Air Tag, just in case! Note: I was probably born deaf and the vet suspects my eye problem is congenital microphthalmia. Microphthalmia is an inherited eye disorder. No treatment or monitoring is required. Vision is probably impaired but you can't tell by my behavior!

Hi! My name is Barkley and I am from Missouri. I am about 10 years old and am a Bichon Frise! I am a little shy, but a whole lotta sweet, and I am curious and want to be loved. To top it off, I sure am cute, and I am the perfect age of 10 years old! From her foster: Barkley, is a very sweet and very shy little girl. She loves other dogs, but avoids human contact so far. Her curiosity gets the best of her though, so she follows me around the house at a distance and seems happy to be just talked to. Her house training is coming along. She seems to know that outside is the place, but doesn't give signals yet, so we try to get her outside on a schedule. It helps to have a companion dog to see what to do. So far, she is not walking on a leash (seems afraid of it) or comfortable with steps, so we carry her outside and back in. Given a choice, she avoids any kind of crate or kennel (the only times she barks is when she is kenneled); just prefers a soft blanket in the corner of a room so she can watch her foster sibling play. She does seem to like being in a doggie stroller, too, so she can go for long rides while we do our walks. She really is the sweetest little thing; she just needs lots of time, lots of quiet space, and lots of patience and love so she can learn to trust humans. She is likely a flight risk due to her fear of humans; a fenced yard and/or double leashing with a harness is needed.
