I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! I really am a sweet boy who is simply looking for the patience, unconditional love, and security that I SO richly deserve from my own fur-ever family! I really hope that YOU will be my new family because my heart is overflowing with love that I want to share with someone very special! I’m Brioche, a two-year-old miniature poodle, and I weigh around 10 pounds. My journey started a bit shaky—literally. When I first came into rescue, I was so scared of people and this big, confusing world. But with the help of my amazing foster family, both the humans and my doggo friends, I’m slowly blossoming into a confident poodle princess. When I’m feeling playful, I love to throw toys around and chase them—it’s like I play fetch with myself! I also enjoy chewing on bones and going for walks, especially when I’m feeling frisky. But what I really love is curling up next to my foster humans and dog friends for some good cuddles. I’m learning more each day that the world can be a safe and fun place, even though I still get a little nervous sometimes. Loud noises and certain people can spook me, so I do best with a double leash when we’re out and about, just to make sure I stay safe. Speaking of being outside, I’m working on my leash training, and I’m getting better every day. I’m also practicing my potty training – I am very good about going outside and using a potty pad if I can’t make it. I used to love my crate so much that I never wanted to leave, but now that I’m feeling braver, I’m not so into the whole crate thing. I don’t mind eating in there, but if you close the door, I’ll definitely let you know I’m not a fan! I’m also super attached to my foster dog siblings, especially the Cavaliers here. If I can’t see them, I get a little panicked, so another dog is required in my forever home to help me feel safe and confident. Oh, and did I mention I have the most beautiful blue eyes? I’m a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle and be close to my people. Watching me come out of my shell little by little has been really special for my foster family. This sweet boy came to our rescue when his elderly owner had to move somewhere for assistance that she couldn't bring him. Casper is 8 years old and 17lbs.Casper is house trained and crate trained, but he does not need to be crated. This sweet boy makes himself right at home anywhere he is at. My name is Cookie and I am from Minnesota. From her foster: Cookie a yorkipoo breeder release. She has diabetes and is blind, but still manages to be sweet and silly. She loves being with her humans and snuggles. She has strong opinions about being separated and will use her voice to let you know exactly how she feels. She is also pretty quick to settle down. She does seem to go potty and poop on a schedule but is also still prone to have accidents in the house. She doesn't have accidents in her kennel, on the furniture,or while being held. She does enjoy small walks and does okay on a leash. Because Cookie is blind I do feel that she would benefit from another small to medium sized dog in the house. She would need someone willing to keep a good schedule for her Insulin and to follow through with veterinarian appointments. From the Vet: I am Cookie and I have been cleared for adoption! After TBB helping to address my medical issues I will share where I am at with all of them. My diabetes is currently managed on 1.5 units of insulin twice daily and a special veterinary diet. My next recheck glucose curve (typically a day that I stay at the vet for monitoring throughout the day) will be due approximately 2-5 months from September 2024. I was seen for a mammary mass removal surgery recently and the good news is that the biopsy showed that the tumors were benign with good margins. This means that the removal procedure is likely to be curative for these masses and we do not expect me to need any future care for this issue. It is always good to routinely monitor for any masses and have them evaluated in the future should any present.

Hi! My name is Pixie and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Do you need to unleash 12 lbs of pure joy and unbridled glee in your house? Then look no further - Pixie the Poodle is your gal! With typical Poodle tendances, Pixie is athletic and VERY eager to please. She gallups through the house, alternately chasing toys and springing into laps. She can sleep quietly on a couch next to you, but she much prefers to be in your lap or pressed up against you, gazing adoringly into your eyes. If she thinks you're not 100% convinced of her love for you, she'll walk her long legs up your torso until you're nose-to-nose, gaze deep into your eyes and then sigh contently with her head on your shoulder. Please don't plan on having personal space with Pixie - that is not her style! Pixie is excellent with dogs and kids. She would be fine as an only dog, but I think she'd really thrive with another dog in the house. She walks well on a leash, but of course gets distracted by every leaf, dog and snowflake around! I know the strict rest after her heartworm treatment (scheduled to begin Jan 10) can be daunting, but I’m happy to share some tips and tricks I’ve learned to help her stay quiet during the treatment period. She does have a cataract in her left eye and will slowly lose vision in just that eye; the vet says it should affect her quality of life at all. She has a mild skin condition that is clearing up nicely and should keep getting better with regular baths and good nutrition. Pixie is an absolute LOVE and would make a wonderful addition to any household! I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.

I’m very afraid of being touched by humans but I do love them.  Over the past few months, foster mom has been working with me on getting used to touch. She can now hold me and put me in her lap and I know I am safe.  I give her smiles and tail wags.  I’ve been brave enough to lick my foster mom’s hand but I’ll run away if you try to hold me or pick me up.  that whole picking me up thing makes me nervous and I panic, but I do enjoy gentle scratches.  With time, lots of patience and love, I’ll get there.  I’m getting a little better every day but when things are scary, they’re really scary! You have to understand that I likely have never been in a loving home so sounds like the TV, clanking dishes, the horrible vacuum and lots of commotion might make me a little worried. I have shown foster mom that I do have some puppy antics in me, hee hee! I like to play with soft toys, run around the yard and wrestle with the other dogs in my foster home. So, it’ll be important that I have a good doggy role model in my forever home to help me learn that touch isn’t scary and keep learning. A social, well-balanced and confident dog is required. This means that my buddy will need to show me humans are safe, how to get on a potty routine and teach me which toys are the best! My fur-brother and the other dogs in my foster home have been amazing teachers! I am still working on my dog skills like potty training. We go outside on a routine, but I will still need of practice in my forever home. Foster mom wants to let you know that I am smart – I already know what “go potty” means! We tried kennel training, and oh boy, I will tell you how much I don’t like it! Bark bark! Foster mom uses gates for the dogs when she isn’t home. I also bark at her when she comes home – maybe I’m telling you I’m glad you’re home, or maybe I’m filling you in on what happened when you were away!  Also, a fenced yard is required as I don’t have a leash or tie-out experience. This is very important for potty training too. My foster mom said I’m fun, adorable, learns quickly and likes to play with other dogs and that I play hard!  Oh and that I have a wonderful appetite! I will let you know with a bark bark that I am excited for dinner! I’m just an overall, very happy dog who loves the feel of the sun on my face when I’m sitting outside, other dogs and treats.  All I need now is a forever home with lots of patience, unconditional love and a family that will help me be the best I can be! At just a year old and 14 pounds, I’m still learning the ropes but making big strides every day. My foster mom says I’m cuddly, and I have to agree—I love resting my head on her shoulder whenever I get the chance. Once I learn you are someone I can trust, we can be friends. My favorite things? Walks, treats, and romping around with my foster sister! I’m pretty polite with other dogs we meet on walks, and though I can be shy with people at first, I’m working on it. My confidence is building, especially when I’m with a calm, friendly dog I can follow. I do require another confident and social dog in my forever home so I can continue learning all the important dogs things, including trusting people. I’m learning a lot in my foster home. We are working on “Come” and “Down.” I’m doing great with potty training on a schedule and can even use a potty pad if needed. I’m not really into crates, but I do well on a leash—even if I get a bit excited sometimes and pull a little. When I'm outside, I need to be on a leash for extra safety, but I'm getting better at coming back from the fenced yard into the house without any trouble. I'm a great eater and a bit mischievous, which adds to my charm. In the mornings, I love to wake up my foster parent by licking their ear—I'm such a sweetheart! A calm home with gentle, understanding people would be perfect for me, especially if there’s another dog my size to help me feel secure. Oh, and I do best when things aren’t too loud or chaotic. I’ll bark if other dogs pass by our yard, but just a gentle reminder, and I’ll quiet down. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love.
