Story
A FUN FELLOW WITH SOME CHALLENGES:  Approx. 9 years old / Approx. 18 lbs.   Hi, my name is Herman!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control and boy, am I glad they did!  I needed some TLC, and it didn’t take me long to realize I had come to the right place for that when I joined the MM family!  I came in heartworm positive, and I’ve already been treated for that! I also needed a good dental cleaning which I received thanks to a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization!  I’ve got hearing and vision loss, but I also have a great spirit and lots of love to give, so come meet me and see if we’re a great match.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and though I was a tad barky once we engaged in play, I liked spending time with them.  In my foster home, I felt the need to protect a treat I was eating and a toy I was playing with, so I’d need my future doggie sibling to understand this boundary of mine. I do like playing with other dogs, so if you have a nice doggie at home that would understand not to press my boundaries, let’s meet!  I am dog reactive to other dogs when on walks, but just hold my leash and move me away from the dog and we’ll be fine. / I’ve been good with the kitty cats in my foster home, so if you have a dog-friendly kitty, let’s meet! / I recently met a boy and girl around 10 years old in my foster home and I liked them!  If you have kids around that age or older at home that would understand I am a bit jumpy when I first meet people, and that understand I have vision and hearing loss, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a super friendly little guy with a playful and fun nature.  I’m enthusiastic when I play and love spending time with my foster family – greeting them with my happy nature, wagging tail and little air bites when I’m excited!  My foster family also reports that I’m a very sweet and a loving guy who is a funny fellow with a chill and playful spirit!  I’ve been great for my baths and my foster recently said that I was an inspiration to her since I have sight and hearing loss – but I don’t let anything get me down – I just navigate around things, bonk my nose at times but nothing stops me and my happy little self.  Of course, I’ll need my family to keep me safe on stairs, etc. / My energy level is 4-6.           • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’, stay’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘place’, ‘leave it’ and ‘down’ commands so far and I’m sure you can teach me lots more! I’m a little jumpy when I meet new people, so I’m working on that now. / My crate manners are good in my foster home. I sleep there overnight without any issues. / My potty manners are good in my foster home.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I absolutely love squeaking squeaky toys - it’s just SO much fun! I also enjoy exploring the house, the yard, and going for walks in the neighborhood, though I’m reactive to cars, dogs and other things that move when walking. I like toys a lot and if I don’t want to give one up, just trade it for another one. I will snuggle up next to you for a nap after an afternoon of playing ball and enjoying our time together.  I’m a power chewer and really enjoy a good chew bone.  I’m very food motivated, and love treat puzzles and treat balls – so fun!  I’m also a fan of belly rubs and getting lots of love and attention. / I can’t think of any dislikes, other than being reactive as mentioned above, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, playtime with my family and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I don’t have sight in my right eye due to a cataract and my foster can tell I have some sight loss in my left eye too and hearing loss. I’ve had a good dental cleaning, and 11 teeth pulled, so my mouth is fresh again! I’ve been treated for heartworms and will have a re-check in March 2025, so local adoption please. A mass was found on my neck, and it appears to be a benign cyst.  I’ll need my family to monitor it, and have it removed if it grows.  I am looking for a great home with a loving family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    November 3, 2024, 8:07 am

Story
Meet Rocket Rick – The Adorable Chocolate Miniature Poodle You’ve Been Waiting For!   Age: 2 years Weight: 8 lbs (could stand to gain a little) Breed: Miniature Poodle (Chocolate) Rocket Rick is the sweetest, most charming, little guy you’ll ever meet! At just 2 years old, this 8-pound bundle of joy is full of love and personality. With his soft, chocolate-colored fur, Rocket Rick is basically a living stuffed animal, seriously, he’s that cute! He’s so cuddly, you’ll want to snuggle him up all day long. Rocket Rick is an absolute sweetheart who loves to curl up next to you and sleep soundly all night, especially under a cozy Afghan blanket. He’s a fantastic houseguest and has shown nothing but good manners in his foster home. He’s also incredibly smart and eager to please, making him a quick learner. While Rocket Rick is great with other dogs, his reaction to cats is unknown. However, his foster has not observed any prey drive or aggression, so we think he would be just fine with them. He’s good with everyone he meets and would thrive in a loving, stable home where he can continue to flourish. Rocket Rick walks well on a leash and is quick to do his business when outside, no long waits here! He does enjoy some crate time, but be warned, he’ll let you know he wants to be with you, as he can cry a bit when left alone. He’s just that affectionate and wants to be near his humans as much as possible. This little guy is looking for a family who will give him lots of love and attention, especially a single-family home where he can get all the snuggles and care he deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and adorable companion to brighten up your life, Rocket Rick might just be the perfect match! Ready to meet this lovable little guy? Story
It's my pleasure to introduce you to Ms. Holly Bells. She's a six-month-old, 38-pound doodle mix—likely a Labradoodle. Holly is spayed, microchipped, potty trained, non-destructive, and not a big barker. She loves to follow me around, walks well on a leash, and is almost fully crate trained. Holly is a joy to be around. She’s friendly with everyone she meets and full of energy, always ready for a walk or a play session. She does well on her own but truly thrives around people. While she does shed a bit, grooming will be manageable with regular upkeep. Holly is great with kids and other dogs. Though I'm unsure about cats, I believe she would want to play with them. She will flourish in a loving home, especially one with a fenced yard where she can enjoy the outdoors. If you're ready to give her your heart, she'll be more than ready to give you hers.     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Marco is the cutest, sweetest 15-year-old dog I have ever known. I adopted him from the Humane Society. Initially very timid, he has gradually come out of his shell. Marco mainly sleeps but will walk around when he's hungry, needs to go outside, or just wants to stretch his legs. He loves being outside and lying in the grass. Remarkably, he does not lick or bark—I've only heard him bark four times in the three years I've had him, the last time being two years ago. Marco has cataracts but manages to get around on his own, although he doesn't navigate stairs by himself. He is very friendly to other dogs and people. Due to his vision, it's best to let him smell your hand first before petting him, as he can get startled if approached too quickly. He is afraid of thunder, so expect him to seek snuggles during storms. Marco is an easy-going dog. If you want to sleep in, he'll sleep in too. I want Marco to have a home where he is attentively cared for, safe, and lo
