My history is a mystery. I was found in a ditch curled up on a pair of jeans. I was pretty scared. I'm very slowly learning to trust. I'm a great size at about 18 lbs. If you have the patience for me come around and get my confidence, I could be the one you are looking for. I am a special case. I'm not going outside or walking on a leash yet, so when they say patience, they really mean a lot of patience and determination - that is what it will take to help me have a good life. To elaborate a bit more, I never wag my tail. I won't sit next to you on the sofa. I don't like it when you touch me. SPIT FIRE HERE!!! I am Peter Parker and UNlike my formal name, I am a BIG GOOFBALL!! WEll not BIG, only packing about 5# in my trunk :) BUT I am a small pup with a HUGE PERSONALITY! If you love my breed mix, you will understand that we are smart, sweet, loyal and CUTE as all get out! And speaking of GET OUT, I was saved from the pound with my eye hanging out :( BUT, I had surgery and it bothers me no more! It doesn't bother me not being there either :) Like dogs do, I don't remember what it was like to have two eyes! I moved forward and now I am in an AMAZING foster home, my foster mama LOVES ME, but I deserve my OWN family!! Fosters and rescuers are SO AWESOME, but there are at least 500 more "Peter Parker" wannabeeeessssss waiting to be saved :( SO, active family, fun and CUDDLY TOO! **Think this dog might be for you? The first step is to complete an application: http://www.mominpinrescue.org/p/adoption-application_30.html We do not arrange transport for our dogs. If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Coco is 11 years old and she's diabetic, but not on a special diet, as per our vet's recommendation. Her insulin dosage is 5 units of 40u insulin once a day with breakfast. She absolutely loves all food and treats, but with diabetes, the amount she eats each day would need to be carefully controlled! She has diminished eyesight in one eye, but so far, her other eye is clear. She will follow her person around the house and is almost always in the same room. After a while, she will really warm up and is quite affectionate. However, because of this, she would probably do best in a home where she is the only dog because she gets territorial of her space with her person. Not physically aggressive, but a lot of barking. She will also bark at your face when she wants your attention and to be petted. Because of her diabetes, she is mostly pad trained, but she will not hold it, so she needs someone with patience and preferably very free access to a fenced-in yard. Someone who is home with her most of the time would be ideal. Located in St. Louis, her adoption fee is $65..

If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Louie was surrendered to rescue after his family was no longer able to care for him. He was estimated to be 14 years old, but truthfully, he doesn't seem to be that old, as spry as he is. He runs in the yard with the other dogs and is a good boy. He is bigger than the average Min Pin, at about 25 pounds. He is great with other dogs, would be okay with kids, and has not been cat-tested. He has had a much-needed dental, his bloodwork was excellent, and he had never been neutered, so that was just done, also. He is microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He has a docked tail, but his ears are natural. Louie is a senior looking for a senior! He is in St. Louis, and his adoption fee is $75.

We do not arrange transport, and you will be responsible for coming to us to get your dog. Adoption Application link: https://www.mominpinrescue.org/p/adoption-application_30.html ** Scout was surrendered to us after the puppy mill using him for breeding purposes decided they were ready to throw him away. He has had limited human exposure. He can be skittish and scares easily. He was born on 12/25/2018. He is currently overweight at 16 pounds. He is a pretty red stag color with cropped ears and a docked tail. He gets along fine with other dogs. Has not been kid or cat-tested. He is neutered, current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on preventative. He is located in St. Louis and his adoption fee is $275.
