Story
Meet Toby! Toby is about 11 months old, 25 lbs, and he may have some Manchester Terrier or Min Pin in his mix! Toby was pulled from a high-kill shelter. In his foster home, he is doing great with his house-training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 5+ and other dogs that are not big players. He chases outdoor cats but is OK with indoor cats. His foster says, `Toby is a sweet, but sensitive little fellow. His early life was not great. Finding yourself on death row as a puppy must have been a little traumatic for him. He takes a little time to warm up to new people, new dogs, and a ne environment. Patience and understanding brings out the best in him.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on January 10th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: Mostly House Trained: Mostly Fergie is a calm, sweet and loving girl who will make a wonderful companion. She is a lower energy gal, who loves a good walk around the neighborhood, followed by a nap on the couch. She is fostered in a multi-dog household and has done well with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Fergie would also be fine as an only dog. She has been fostered in a home with cats and completely ignores them. Fergie enjoys living a quieter life and does best with older dog savvy children. She is an easy going girl who is excited to spend a life of leisure with her forever family. Fergie is eager to please and very food motivated. She LOVES her treats. Fergie is mostly crate trained, she enters her crate on command and sleeps soundly in it overnight. She can be vocal when crated during the day when her foster family is away. She is mostly house trained on a consistent schedule and is learning to cue. With time, and routine she will quickly master it. Her favorite part of the day is her “parades” around the neighborhood with her family. She walks beautifully on a leash. Is Fergie the missing piece to your family? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.December 17, 2024, 1:44 am

Story
This pint sized pal may be small but she’s got a big heart! Harlow was brought into rescue after ending up at a high kill shelter in Texas. She was left amongst several dogs left behind to starve when “owners” moved out. We are so grateful they were found before it was too late. During her time at the shelter, Harlow would show volunteers her belly whenever they entered her enclosure, almost as if to say: “please don’t hurt me” Harlow isn’t just a lap dog, she’d love to join her people for walks or hikes, play outside or even play with her toys. It’s almost always followed by a nap soon after. 1-2 years old // 17lbsplayful + dog friendly crate trainedgreat apartment size palbelly rub queen Spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated ——————————————-January 2025 pick up please remember we are all volunteers &  incomplete applications will not be processed Apply to FOSTER or ADOPT today & get approved to bring a dog home.
