Story
Vinny is a puppy searching for real love. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, he turns into an affectionate, bug-eyed shadow who wants to be your best friend in everything you do.
He is crate trained, though like any puppy, he may have a few accidents while settling into a new environment. Vinny loves other dogs and would thrive in a home where dogs are truly part of the family. A confident, friendly older dog would be a big plus, and he would absolutely enjoy puppy classes to continue building confidence and social skills.
Vinny’s rescue story: He is the sole survivor of a severely neglected litter. Despite repeated outreach, the owners refused to spay the mother or properly care for the puppies. Vinny was the only pup they ultimately agreed to surrender. As a result of the neglect, he developed mange, but he has since fully recovered and is now healthy and ready to move forward.
Vinny has already overcome more than any puppy should have to. Now he is just looking for a home where he can feel safe, loved, and truly belong.
This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)

PLEASE READ:
• If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.
• All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.
• Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.
Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.
Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.
