Story
Meet Monty! This adorable 6-year-old Chihuahua/Min Pin is ready to find his forever home!  Good with Kids Good with a majority of dogs Never been around cats Monty is a sweet guy who loves to snuggle under the covers when it’s bedtime.  He enjoys all types of toys to play with but some of his favorite are chew bones, anything with stuffy and tug-a-war toys.  One of his favorite activists is running around doing zoomies in the yard, playing chase with his canine friends. He uses a dog door and does well in a crate. He was 1 of the 8 dogs that was lucky enough to fly to the US from Costa Rica to get a new chance at life. Monty is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.  November 4, 2024, 4:07 am

Story
I adopted Leo when he was 10 weeks old. He has been raised with dogs cats and children. Leo is playfull and full of love. About a year ago he was playing and jumped wrong and he became paralyzed in the back legs. The vet gave him xrays and meds. The vet was uncertain if he would gain mobility back due to the swelling of the injury. A month later Leo started walking and since has gained about 90% mobility back but we are still working on getting him potty trained again. He currently uses doggy diapers when gone for long then an hour or two. We are moving out of state and new home won't allow dogs. I don't want to take him to the human society because Im afraid he will be put to sleep. He is an amazing dog and I just want to find him an amazing family!

Story
When it comes to a ‘special needs’ dog, there should be emphasis on the word ‘special’ – there is nothing more special than a dog like Dean! A 1.5 yr old Miniature Pinscher-mix, Dean was most likely born without eyesight. He is completely blind and was originally found on the side of a busy road by a Good Samaritan who luckily was able to save him before he got into the busy street or highway nearby! Despite his disability, nothing stops Dean from enjoying life to the fullest! He has a joyful spirit and doesn’t let what he doesn’t have bring him down. Due to his lack of eyesight, Dean works hard to learn his new environment. He’s a very smart boy, who adapts quickly, but he can get frightened by new sounds, especially loud ones like sirens. As a result, a quiet, low-key home is preferred for him. Dean would thrive in a home without children (young or older) or cats. The extra noises of children do make him uncomfortable, and he doesn’t quite understand why cats won’t play with him! He would greatly appreciate a home with a consistent routine that will give him ample time to get comfortable around any new visitors. Once he feels safe, he is the biggest love bug and wants to play! Dean takes comfort in the safety of his crate, which will be a great tool for his future family to continue using in order to provide him a safe, quiet place in his new home. Dean is potty trained at his current location and in a new unfamiliar environment, he will need to learn the routine of being let outside. He greatly would prefer being let outside in a private backyard over being put on a leash to go potty. He would love another dog friend to play with and help lead the way. Dean enjoys playing with toys and chewing on marrow bones, and if you can’t find him, he has most likely burrowed himself underneath blankets! This boy just wants to be loved and feel safe, and we know the perfect home is out there for him. He will bring so much joy to his perfect forever home! Dean’s adoption fee includes his completed veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchip and neuter. He’ll melt your heart at first sight.
