Story
We adopted her from an animal shelter but it’s not working out with our other dog. What we know about her is she was a stray her whole life. She’s 3 years old and very skittish. She’s a good dog just needs someone that’s patient and has no other pets or someone who is experienced with working with her kind of needs. She downs her food since she’s not used to having any, and is protective of people she trusts.

Story
Meet Peanut Peanut came to us from Yuma where he had earned quite a fan club. This very nice guy is estimated 9-10 years old and is 14/15 lbs. and stands 15" at the shoulder. Peanut is a laid back, mellow guy who is well behaved. He is not an excessive barker (except when crated) and has excellent house manners. Peanut has shown himself to be with good with people and other dogs. He is friendly but also enjoys time to himself. Peanut is well housebroken and has not had a single accident in his Tucson foster's home! Despite his long, lanky legs, Peanut is not a runner or a bolter. He walks nicely on a leash and looks forward to his leisurely walk around the block. Peanut had a dental while in rescue and has a nice set of teeth. He is also neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines and is healthy with no medications. Peanut is hard of hearing; he responds to a loud clap. For this reason thunder and other loud noises are probably not an issue with him. He has only mild vision issues. Peanut would be a great addition as a second (or third) dog to a household. The boy has learned to use the doggie door but he does not climb pet stairs and has little interest in getting up on the couch or the bed. He is most comfortable on the floor or ground where he enjoys his dog beds. He will typically nap the afternoon away. Peanut is not a lap dog,.and typical of his breed is fairly independent. He is mostly a quiet guy but occasionally he will talk to you (not bark) which may amuse you. Story
Meet **Mac** 💙6 years old | gentle soul | looking for a patient, loving homeMac is a sweet 6-year-old who’s had a lot to process, and right now the world feels a little big to him. He can be shy and scared at first, but underneath that uncertainty is a truly loving dog just waiting for someone to show him he’s safe.Give Mac a little time and kindness, and you’ll see him start to relax—soft eyes, cautious tail wags, and quiet moments that say *thank you for being gentle with me*. He’s not looking for chaos or constant excitement; he’d thrive in a calm home with people who understand that love doesn’t always arrive loudly.Mac would do best with a patient adopter who believes in second chances and understands that the most rewarding bonds are often the ones you have to earn. Watching him gain confidence and learn to trust will be incredibly special. If you have room in your heart (and on your couch) for a shy boy who just wants to feel safe and loved, Mac might be the one you’ve been waiting for. 🐾💙
