Story
*This dog is located in the Niagara area*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*Hey yall, Im Otis! One of my hobbies is napping, whether it be on your carpet or in your lap. I weigh 76 lbs, but weighted blankets are a thing these days right!? I love being outdoors but short walks are my thing as I get tired easily. I would like to say that Im a total love bug once I get to know you! Otis has embarked on a board & train program following minor bite incidents so that we could learn more about how we can help Otis succeed and become a well-balanced and confident dog. From Otis' trainer:After working with Otis in our board and train program we have discovered he is not an aggressive dog. Otis is nervous, sensitive and fearful. Mainly to new people and loud noises. He needs an owner who will continue his training. He has learnt place, leash walking, crate training, sit, recall, release command, waiting at thresholds and waiting for food. Otis responds well to a calm, confident leader and is already e-collar and muzzle trained! He needs someone to help with his decision making and continue to use his tools to assist him in that. He is not a high energy dog so the walks and keeping his training up is all he needs. Otis will also need an owner who advocates for him, so that means making sure not to let strangers walk up on him. He is unsure of loud noises and even the vacuum cleaner. We continue to teach Otis how to walk away when he feels nervous instead of becoming defensive. This is another example of advocating for him. His new must be stepping in when he feels nervous and getting him to a place where he feels confident and safe. Otis is looking to put his bite history in the past. We are confident with the right owner he will be successful and make a wonderful companion!Name: Otis Weight: ~76lbsAge ~6.5 yearsGender: MaleBreed: American bulldog mixColour: WhiteMedical: Skin cancer removal on genital area. Peachy is fostered in St Catharines. Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Peachy is a 5-month-old mixed-breed pup with a heart full of love. With her soft tan coat and gentle spirit, shes the perfect blend of playful and snuggly. Peachy is a curious explorer who enjoys discovering the world at her own pace, making her an independent little adventurer. Shes not afraid to play with bigger dogs and, after a burst of fun, loves to crash on your lap for a cozy nap. This precious pup will flip her on her back when she is relaxing, and shell happily cozy up in your arms. Peachy has medium puppy energy and would thrive in a home where she can enjoy long walks, sniffing all the exciting scents, and meeting new friends, both human and canine. Shes already shown friendliness toward cats, making her a great fit for multi-pet households.Peachy is still mastering house training (about 50% there) and is getting more comfortable with crate training, settling in after a bit of barking or whining. While shes learning the ropes of leash walks, shes eager to improve with a patient and loving family. This sweet girl would do best in a detached home where she has space to grow and explore. Her playful personality, cuddly nature, and adventurous spirit make her a precious baby whos ready to bring joy and love to her forever family.Name: PeachyBreed: Mixed breedAge: ~5 months Weight: ~32lb and growing Sex: Female Colour: TanMedical: Treated for parasites; no concerns Good with men: YesGood with women: YesGood with kids 0-6: Yes, but has not lived with kidsGood with kids 6+: Yes, but has not lived with kids Good with dogs: Yes, loves being around and playing with other dogs Good with cats: Yes House trained: Working on it - about 50% there Crate trained: Yes, still getting used to it but does well.
