Lilo has been tested with other dogs and did wonderfully, and when walking past cats, she didn’t react at all – so she’s great with both other animals and people. While Lilo may be a little shy at first, her love for human interaction and treats quickly help her open up. She’s a big fan of cuddles and enjoys spending quality time with her people. With some patience, she’ll become your ultimate snuggle buddy and a loyal companion for life. Lilo is looking for a home where she can feel safe, loved, and spoiled with attention. She’s a calm, affectionate dog who would thrive in a household where she’s given the time to adjust and get comfortable. Lilo loves human companionship, and she’ll quickly show you how much she appreciates your kindness – especially if there are some tasty treats involved! BIRDIE is currently in a high kill shelter in Georgia and is hoping to catch a ride on 2/8/25 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue to Cedarburg WI, but needs an ADOPTER or FOSTER to secure her spot! Please apply to foster or adopt on our website: www.muttlife.org ABOUT: BIRDIE is a roughly 1 1/2 yrs old altered female 50 lbs. She is super dog friendly and a super silly girl. She was able to get into a foster home in Georgia before coming to WI and is currently with 8 other dogs and is doing awesome! She gets along with everyone and is a submissive girl. She has not been cat tested yet, but is most likely fine. She does well with kids too. She is working on potty training and all the stuff that goes with living in a home. An overall good girl who is hoping to find her forever family when she comes to WI. __________ All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heart worm prevention, and are heart worm tested prior to adoption if age appropriate. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. ​3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted prior to 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement of $100. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
