Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: ZEUS ABOUT: Zeus is a 4-and-a-half-year-old Altered Male English Mastiff. He is 88lbs and heartworm negative. Zeus loves everybody except baby chickens/ducks. He is good with other dogs and cats. Please message us for videos. Zeus is house and crate and walks great on the leash. He is calm and easy to handle. He is a very laid-back couch potato. He loves treats and is food motivated for tricks. He knows sit and roll over. He also loves tennis balls. He is really a great guy. He is a staff favorite at the shelter and a playground rockstar! -------------------- Zeus is currently in a high-kill shelter in Georgia and urgently needs our help! He needs an ADOPTER or a temporary FOSTER home so he can catch a ride with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin on Saturday, January 11th, 2025. If nobody steps up for him, Zeus will have to stay behind at the shelter, and we don't want him to miss this important chance for a better life. Let's come together to give him the future he deserves! —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is s summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Story
Lucia is an adorably delicious lady with the most squishable face! She came to us from MADACC, and is believed to be a Mastiff/St. Bernard mix. Lucia does great with other dogs, but can be a bit overwhelmed when they are overly energetic. She's very smart, and knows "sit". Lucia does need some work on some basic manners, as she doesn't realize how big she is. But with some understanding and patience we know she is going to steal your heart just as she has stolen ours! All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs

Story
Hi Im Odie! I was born on May 12th, 2023 with a lot of brothers and sisters on a homestead. I stayed there playing with my siblings and parents until my owner came for me and brought me to my current home. Unfortunately, my owners partner has become dangerously allergic to me and Ive gotten too big for the current living situation. So we are looking for a new home for me! Hopefully, my new home would have a big yard and other dogs to play with. I absolutely love to play but sometimes I forget how big I am with others. And when I play really hard I nap even harder, I love to cuddle up on the couch. Im a well-behaved young dog since I have completed puppy school, I love to do tricks for treats. Things I need to work on: - Recall - Separation anxiety (inside a cage) - Scared of water - Jumping on people to say hi

Story
Handsome-boy Tonka needs a miracle. Due to a drastic change in his owner’s life, Tonka finds himself immediately in-need of a new foster and/or forever home. We know this is a big ask…as this BIG boy has quite a few specific requirements…but we are hopeful that his gorgeously giant smush-face will capture someone’s heart *just* enough to prompt them to give him a shot/bring him home!  Tonka’s details: 6 years old Is a mastiff/bloodhound mix Dog-friendly (Tonka LOVES other dogs! He actually tends to warm up more quickly to humans if there are other dogs around, and would prefer another dog in the home to romp around and explore with. He has done wonderfully with every single dog he’s met! ).  Does ok with dog-savvy cats. If the kitties don’t run, he does just fine…however if they do run, he will chase/terrorize them! Rides very well in a vehicle!  Is extremely loyal, loving, mellow, and snuggly. Fully potty-trained Loves to lounge, is incredibly smart, and doesn’t chew on anything he shouldn’t.  Tonka’s home requirements: Tonka’s #1 setback is that he has “stranger danger.” He is NOT a dog who’s able to be immediately approached by new humans. Therefore any introductions with him need to be slow and proper (no staring, no sudden behaviors/quick movements, no reaching hands toward him, no pets until he’s ready…& REALLY good treats!), with a calm, understanding, and patient demeanor. It can take anywhere from 30mins to several days for Tonka to fully adjust to new people…but once he does, you are “in” with him and he is SO faithful and SO loving! His person will need to be his advocate, as any/all encounters he makes should strictly follow the above guidelines. NO kids! He has a protective nature, and children come with more commotion + more noise. Therefore a kiddo-free environment is a must.  Much prefers females over males. Tonka’s past – before rescue – could’ve definitely held some misuse by a male figure in his life. He undoubtedly gravitates toward women, so would thrive with a single, confident female. Otherwise a couple [with a very patient male] could also prove to be the perfect placement! Toys and treats (especially if they include peanut butter! ) aplenty are a MUST! If living in town, a fenced-in, private yard is a necessity. He will react to/bark at (& has quite the BIG bark!) people walking by…and so quiet, country-living would be most ideal. More than anything, Tonka yearns for LOVE! If you show him compassion and earn his trust, he is amazing beyond measure! If you’re willing to give him that chance, he promises to return that love for the rest of his days.  APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com Tonka is an eligible foster-to-adopt candidate, so please private message us with any interest/additional questions ##1983835##

Story
Meet Tick!Tick is a sweet and loving girl who knows how to give the best hugs. She’s selective when it comes to her people and other dogs, so it may take more than one meeting for her to warm up, but once she bonds with you, she’s loyal and affectionate through and through. With a calm and steady presence, Tick makes a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates her unique personality. While she might be picky at first, she’s a fantastic protector and will always have your back. She walks well on a leash and enjoys her time outdoors, so she’d thrive in a home where she can get regular walks and some quality one-on-one time. Tick is best suited for an experienced dog owner who is willing to invest in her training and give her the space she needs to truly blossom. Due to her selectiveness, she’s not recommended for a home with children.Tick may not be the typical `instant best friend` for everyone, but for the right person, she’s a loyal and loving companion who will make your heart swell with her thoughtful hugs. If you’re looking for a dog who can be both protective and affectionate, Tick just might be your perfect match. Come meet Tick and see if you`re the one she`s been waiting for!
