Frank is a sweet, handsome mastiff mix looking for a new home through no fault of his own. He is housetrained, knows tons of commands and loves making new friends. He loves going for car rides, adores cats, dogs and kids of all ages and really just wants to love everyone he meets. He is a big boy and needs to go to a home with prior experience with large breeds. He would do best in a home with multiple people and other pets, he has lived with other animals his whole life and does not do well by himself.

Story
MEET GOLDIE, a beautiful & young Mastiff in need of a foster or forever home! Goldie is a 1-year-old girl and is still a big puppy! She already weighs 90 pounds, and will likely put on weight as she grows up. She was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter. Goldie is a sweet, gentle dog. She is slightly shy, especially with men, but very affectionate once she gets to know you. She gives big kisses! We do not know too much yet about how she is with other dogs, because she caught a doggy cough at the shelter so has been in isolation. But given her gentleness, we are expecting she will be good with other dogs, and we will test her soon. She would do well with a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Daisy!Daisy is a 1-year-old, 65-pound Mastiff mix with a heart as big as her paws! Rescued as a stray in poor condition, Daisy has been thriving in her foster home and steadily gaining weight. She’s blossomed into a sweet, loving girl who adores bedtime cuddles and following her humans everywhere—they’ll never be alone with her around!Still a playful pup, Daisy has plenty of energy and is house trained and still learning the ropes of training like not jumping on you in excitement. She’s a smart cookie and eager to please, so with patience and consistency, she’ll become an amazing companion. Daisy loves playing with bigger, higher-energy dogs, like her foster family’s huskies, and has shown promise around cats. While she’s still learning to respect feline boundaries, she’s making great progress.Watching Daisy discover toys and grow into her happy, playful self is nothing short of heartwarming. She’s ready to bring her big heart and loyal spirit into a forever home that will love her unconditionally. Could Daisy be your perfect match?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 4, 2024, 3:44 pm

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Introducing Max! He is a 3-year-old, 84lb French Mastiff mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Max is one big sweetheart! He walks well on a leash, gets along great with other dogs, and is friendly with everyone he meets. He does well being groomed and loves any attention he can get from his people. He will require an adopter that is able to handle his strength as he does like to pull occasionally when he sees something of interest, and he is very strong when doing so. He is a gentle giant but is strong, so due to his strength, we are looking for an adult only household or a household with children over 10 years. Max has a great smile, charming brown eyes, and so much love to give! He is going to be a loyal companion to whoever adopts him. Max is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
Meet Munster, 115 pounds of pure love! This handsome ~3-year-old Mastiff/Cane Corso mix came to us from a high-kill shelter in California and is now searching for his perfect forever home. Munster is the definition of a loyal companion and a true “velcro dog.” He adores being by your side, following you around to show how much he loves you. A certified cuddle enthusiast, Munster thrives on affection and has been nothing but friendly with everyone he’s met. This big-hearted boy enjoys leisurely walks and is great on a leash. He also loves lounging at home and never says no to treats! Food-motivated and eager to learn, Munster already knows “sit” and “shake” and is ready to master more tricks with the right guidance. While Munster has done well with other dogs in our care, he occasionally prefers to soak up all the attention, making him equally suited to being the only dog in a household. We’re looking for an experienced Mastiff or Cane Corso owner who understands the needs of these powerful breeds and can provide the structure and handling he requires. He is VERY strong! Munster would thrive in a home with a yard to play in and loves playing with toys. He’s car-friendly, has had no accidents indoors, and is steadily improving with crate training (though he’d much rather be close to his people). Munster’s ideal family might work from home or bring him along to work! Munster is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500. Ready to welcome this gentle giant into your life? Munster is ready to meet you!

Story
Manini is a 2-year-old female Boerboel Mastiff/German Shepherd mix who has held a special place in our hearts since our first day with her. She is a bundle of love who thrives on attention, cuddles, pets, and playful tackles. Her heart is full of joy when surrounded by affection and fun! Manini is up to date on all her vaccinations and is in great health. Above all, she thrives on structure. The training that we gave her has been instrumental in her development. She responds well to routines and enjoys walking to school every morning, often with multiple families. She is accompanied by 5-6 other dogs, 6-10 adults, and 10-12 children, which she enjoys. Unfortunately, due to our moving, we need to re-home her.

Story
Hello, Moppet and I met 3 years ago as a foster. Eventually, I adopted; but keeping him/providing a stable home has been a challenge for me. All of his medical and dental needs have been addressed; he’s a healthy boy of about 10 years old. Moppet sleeps a lot and would do well in a household that isn’t too active; but still gives him enthusiastic walks and daily playtime. With professional training, he could be fine with other dogs; I simply don’t have the resources for that. This is a brutally difficult situation for us and I’ll miss him terribly; but it’s important he be given the best home possible. The adoption fee will include his dog bed, food, medication and everything else you need for the first 4-6 weeks. He has some dietary issues, but nothing major. Also, he sleeps with his humans and needs a home with non-smokers. If you smoke, or vape, moppet is not for you. Kids over 7 are ok. This has become time sensitive. For the perfect home, I’m willing to waive the adoption fee.

Story
Welcome Hans to CCPAL foster program. Hans is a 1 year old English Mastiff pure bred dog. She weighs 70 pounds and should weigh up to 100 or so full grown. We do not have papers. We are a rescue and only help find homes for Rescue dogs needing great placements. Hans is good in a crate and good with other dogs. She is around other dogs all her size or bigger. She has all the lovely qualities of the Mastiff. She is loyal and once when the gate was open she stayed inside the yard and warned the owners that some of her group were out of the yard. She is less vocal and has an adorable wrinkly face. She understands Spanish and English commands as she has people around her that know both languages. She has been around lots of people including teens and does great. She got her second vaccination today and will be spayed soon with the CCPAL rescue. She is currently in Texas in foster care. She is lower on the shed scale, good in a crate and decent on a leash. She goes potty outside and like all mastiffs she drools when she is ready to eat or you are about to feed her. This breed is naturally a protective dog and would be best with someone that knows and loves this breed. She is a beautiful khaki and black coloration. She has big webbed feet and should be a good swimmer. Right now she is not near water so we don’t know if she likes water to swim. When you get a puppy it is best you have some free time to train and spend time with her. It will make for a better adult dog. She is in Texas now and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 600 due to her high spay cost and transport will be $200 if we use the transporter. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!
