Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Lux, a big-hearted pup who’s all about love and fun! This gentle giant adores people of all ages, though his enthusiasm means he might accidentally bump into little ones, so gentle supervision with small children is recommended. Lux is a friendly, tail-wagging bundle of joy who wants nothing more than to be close to you—he would be in heaven snuggling up on the couch with his head or even his whole body on your lap! Lux is a playful spirit who loves any toy he can get his paws on. As a growing puppy, he’s still learning which things are okay to chew on, and supervision will help him while his puppy teeth come in. His eagerness for treats makes training a breeze; watching him figure out how long he has to sit before a treat is his is both funny and endearing. He’ll sit, stand, and sit again, always ready for another treat! Lux is super food-motivated, so with consistency, his training is a piece of cake. Play, nap, eat, and repeat is Lux’s happy routine. He settles quietly in his crate after a couple of minutes and keeps it clean for up to eight hours, sleeping soundly through the night. Lux loves to play with the resident dogs in his foster home and would thrive with a playful dog friend in his new home. He’s also great with cats, giving them a friendly sniff before moving on. While he hasn’t seen a cat running yet, he might find it exciting and want to join in the chase, so a little supervision would be good. Lux is a playful pup who has no idea how large he is, and he is still growing!! He would love a home that would provide him with both physical exercise and mental stimulation and continue with his obedience training. Although he loves all dogs he has met, he doesn't yet know when enough play time is enough, so it is important he is around other dogs that treat him fairly when play time is over. Lux loves to cuddle and eat, and being super food motivated he wants to do whatever you ask him to. He is the type of dog who wants to not only go on a hike with you for an adventure but also snuggle up at the end of the day and watch TV. With his big, square head and expressive eyes, Lux has a way of melting hearts with just a tilt of his head. This sweetheart has a face full of personality and a gentle soul that shines through. He’s a joy to be around, and with his friendly, cuddly nature, he’s ready to bring endless love and happiness to his forever family. Lux is from a local reservation. Snapshot of Beast: Size: X-Large (100 lbs.) Activity Level: Medium Noise Level: Low Good with Dogs: ok with slow intros to friendly dogs Good with Cats: Nope Good with Kids: Due to his size, he would be best in a home with older kids Good with Strangers: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Beast doesn't tolerate dog crates Shedding: Minimal About Beast: Hi! My name is Beast! I'm a friendly guy who just wants to snuggle and be nice. My old human left me alone at a shelter because they couldn't take care of me anymore, so I got sent to Twin Cities Pet Rescue so they could find me a new home. I'm 4-5 years old, about 100 pounds, and am starting to get a bit of a gray beard, so I look very distinguished! I like being spoiled. I also like being in the same room with you as much as possible. I like to snuggle on the couch and want to sleep with you in your bed. I'm a big guy, and very strong - I can easily force my way out of a normal dog kennel, and can break most baby gates and safety latches designed for smaller dogs or humans without even thinking about it. Bottom line I don't like to be confined, but I'm well behaved in a home. I'm smart, housebroken, and pretty well trained. I know my name, and words like sit, shake, outside, potty, and others. I like to lick people when I meet them, and please be prepared because I'm a drooler! I prefer to lie down when I eat, and I don't have any special dietary needs, but sometimes I drink my water too fast and it comes back up, so I need some help with that. My foster dad also has another dog. He's kind of a jerk. We are mostly ok together but if he gets too anxious, foster dad has to take him away to "quiet time" so he doesn't go after me. When he's not anxious, we like to play outside and snuggle with foster dad. I'm good with other dogs, but sometimes due to my size they do not like me or are afraid of me. Because of my breed, I require slightly different maintenance than some other dogs. I have bristly, oily fur that needs to be washed more often so it doesn't smell. I also have folds of skin around my neck that need to be cleaned and dried occasionally, or I might get a skin infection. If you're interested in adopting a dog like me, I'd love to meet you! Beast is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. Adoption Fee: $100 + applicable tax (This adoption fee discount is sponsored by Twin Cities Pet Rescue to help Beast find his well deserved forever home) Training Requirement: Obedience Level 1 Recommended MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you'd like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking "adopt me! A volunteer from Twin Cities Pet Rescue will contact you within 3 business days. FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!!! Twin Cities Pet Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster home-based organization. Story
Hello! My name is Luna and I just arrived to Minnesota from Alabama. I took a very long van ride with my very best friend, Raven. Oh, also she’s my sister and we are inseparable! In Alabama, I lived with my owner and family for 3 years but sadly my owner passed away. My family really loved me and it was the hardest decision they’ve ever had to make but they knew they could not keep taking care of my sister and me. They are praying that the right forever home finds us. I’ve gone on a lot of walks already since coming to Minnesota and my foster mom says I do great! I don’t pull and I walk right next to her. I love to have my tummy rubbed. My family said I was very smart, loyal, and want to please. My sister and I will give you a lifetimeof love and snuggles!!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $600 for the Bonded PairTo apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/
